I received this clone from the vendor savage gardens on Strainly. When the clone arrived 134EDB60-8CA3-4B3E-B792-F01F693F1733.jpeg59EDAC75-1979-47B6-ABC2-30E4529CA810.jpeg
I put it directly into miracle grow potting soil!! I didn’t realize that it was fertilized, I wasn’t planning on growing in soil, I was planning on DWC (more on that later…), I wanted this to be my mother plant so I plan on keeping it potbound In soil and then just replace it periodically.
So needless to say the rooted clone got really bad nitrogen burn and damn near died, but I realized the error in my ways and reported mixing in some organic soil, and learned about Vpd in the process in time to nurse her back to health. At the point of the last photo, I realized that I needed to do some training in order to get multiple clone sites, so…

a few weeks later she was ready to take the 4 clone

into the DIY aero cloneFC401AFB-FD07-490F-8074-A473914CB10B.jpeg

after about 10 days the roots were past the sides of the cups, so into a 70/30 coco perlite mix they went.

7 new clones for outdoors in the bucket, all 5 of the other outdoor clones rooted and went into organic soil.F1E62D55-F3C2-4D7F-863A-41E52E07586F.jpeg

Mom is looking hacked down, she will come back though. Im wondering if next batch of clones should be the last for her and then make a new mother, it’s been about 3 months for her, I think she will make it to the middle ofJune and I will just throw her out with the others and see what she does.

Yesterday I was thinking about starting some LST and tying down some stems to the sides of the containers, so I bent one of my main tops down to see where it would size up to, and snap, the branch split almost off, so I used a twist tie I had within reach while I held the stem together with my other hand, and put it back together. 16B07C2B-7961-49C3-B1F0-E10A64C16326.jpeg
Then I went and got some waterproof medical tape and secured it more tightly. It’s been more than 36 hours and I see no change in the new growth at all.2490243F-111A-43A4-8CB4-0809CD0C9E8F.jpeg

after this I decided to trim up the skirts a bit.04F94EEB-0955-4459-9ACB-4535B22ADEFF.jpeg5BB4A1FF-D6B0-444B-8126-684522747A4D.jpeg

It’s Day 22 of veg, or at least the way I’m counting it, day 22 from the day the rooted clones came out of the solo cups. I transplanted 5 of the 7 clones from my cloning bucket and took 8 new clones.477FA963-1C7D-4FA5-9295-0A542FC2349A.jpeg

mom is looking pretty hacked down, but she will com back bushy as ever and this is the last batch of clones I’m going to take off of her I think. I’m going to grow her out outdoor this year, so she will be spending the next 2 or 3 weeks getting bushy and hardening off and then I will nominate one of the last clones when they have rooted, to be the new mom.

Had to boost watering up to 24oz twice a day, feeding at 1.9-2ec. They could probably flip to flower at anytime but I will wait until Friday as that is the last day of week 6. Don’t mind my outdoor plants that are hardening off, they are only in the tent from 12am-8am and that will go until Friday and then they will go out for good.A39C2F60-1272-4483-B4EB-C42195A270E6.jpeg7A29AC0C-60AC-41BF-A33F-70B5137A47E7.jpeg

Growers Note: EC 1.9 is the threshold for veg with Floraflex V1 V2 and cal mag.

you can see very slight burning on some extreme tips at the top of each clone, and some leaf upturn at the edges of a few fan leaves. Not worried about it, I gradually went up from .8-1.0ec every other feeding about 10% more and did exactly what I wanted to, touched the edge of what’s safe. Now I am pulling back to 1.8ec, well within the sweet spot I feel for this cultivar, in late veg.

I've been running this cut for a bit now. I've finished one plant in coco, and another run in soil. I'm back to coco now, and on my 3rd run. I usually run my EC around 1.3, and the plant has generally been happy with that, although I do have red petioles, but just with this cut not with other cuts next to it. PCG says it flowers in 9 to 10 weeks, but I think it's a 10-week minimum cut.

Thank you for the tips, and a look at what’s hopefully to come!
I flipped to flower on Friday, 6/17/22. One of my light bars is out, should be back online this week for sure, but the plants are still closing the gaps. I’m confident I will get a full canopy.

also pruned up underneath to push the growth up to the canopy. (I still had not done the plant on the back left yet)430C715C-4D92-4EAF-B7B0-16AD8532DFBE.jpeg

Everything is looking good, flowers are forming.55AD150D-7ED5-435A-B067-89FBB24549FB.jpeg

just when I was starting to think everything was on autopilot for the next 2 months and my next real stress was going to be keeping my drying areawithin tight parameters….and my pH meter went up…I don’t calibrate regularly, I bought it new and it always worked until today…lesson learned, I also haven’t been measuring my ph adjustments, so I have no confidence that I can get it close enough to 6.0 with no meter, so they got about 2/3 feeding tonight. And I am going to get aquarium pH strips in a few hours and try to get it tolerable until I canget new calibration solution.

Make sure you always use storage solution with your ph meter, and it should last a long time, even with the cheap ph pens. Also if you add fulvic acid to your feed, it will help with ph swings, in that it's an organic chelator. It will also allow you to run a somewhat lower EC, as nutrients are better absorbed by the plant when fulvic is incorporated.

I like this stuff: https://www.mrfulvic.com/

GG mono-silicic acid is very concentrated, and you only need to use 0.13 ml/gallon. Personally I cut it out all together after week 4 of flower.
