Purple Cow Organics Seed Starter

Hi folks, wondering if anyone has tried this brand of soil to start their seeds in? I’ve had a few recent runs with peat pellets and FFOF burning/stunting seedlings so figured I’d give this a shot - layer this in on top of FFOF while I still have some left to use up.

Interested in any thoughts on Purple Cow or even recommendations on other solid organic seed starter soils…

Thanks! ✌

I just use whatever potting mix I plan to use for the full run, just cut 50/50 with Coco fibre (long fibre), and then transplant into final pots around week 3.

Ffof cut with some extra Coco will be fine.
Thanks VincentVonHook. Do you drop the seed directly in the substrate then?

Yep, we do something similar. We start in root riot cubes for a week to 1.5 weeks and then move to 50/50 coast of maine platinum blend and coast of maine seed starter blend with a little worm castings and compost mixed in a solo cup.
