@Stephenj37826 came up with this cool idea of a Plug n Play HID Duct cooled retrofit Kit using the LED's
Lets see what it looks like.

4 x boards on 2x HLG240H-2100
1/8 inch Aluminum plate. Air cooled.
Total Wattage 540 Watts
About 490 watts into 1216 Samsung 561 C diodes

Case A with driver Loss, Case B without driver losses

80460 lumens.
164.1Lm/w
Estimates:
LER 321.60 lm/W
QER 4.86 µmol/J
50% at board level. 2.47ppf/w

Case B
80460 lumens.
149.4 Lm/w
Estimates:
LER 321.60 lm/W
QER 4.86 µmol/J
46.5% at system level. 2.26 ppf/w

PPF ~ 1250 umol/sec
i think similar to single end 1000W in output

There will be losses due to the glass.
It has 4 legs and can be placed inside the hood.
Uses its own HLG power supplies and old ballast is not needed and some rewiring is needed to power the new drivers.

You can build these on your own.:hump:
Or buy them pre assembled. Pre assembled will comes in 2 sizes. Best to share your fixture name so that @Stephenj37826 can recommend the kit size that will fit.
Estimated $649 for pre assembled until End of Jan.

Estimated $699 for pre assembled until End of Jan for a similar design but completely passive and for use without duct cooling. More details for this in 2 weeks.

Sphere data. Not available. Found a new test lab for Sphere testing. got the quotes. Saving up $$$ to get boards tested by end of Jan.

Did you guys did a footprint for this new light? you should compare it in a 4*4 tent with 600 hps, i would like to know how the footprint is in compare to 600watt hps

We checked with a par meter that the store had on hand. It bested the hortilux 1000k under the fixture pretty much everywhere in the 4x4 and was on par all the way out to the 6x6. Note I'm going to get her to put in a new bulb and clean the glass and all that for a fair test. This thing will own a 600 hps with authority. It's basically putting out 1150-1250 ppf to the canopy vs a 600 hps @ 1050 umol before the reflector loss of 20-25%. This of course not including the higher spectral efficiency.

Is that peppers, lettuce and some type of squash or pumpkin plant? are those boards held in place with those screws that rest on the glass? Looks like if you opened that glass(or bumped it the wrong way) all that stuff would fall out. Metal resting on glass seems like a bad idea to me, sounds like a recipe for broken glass and stuff falling out of that unit.
