Question about autos

So of I have autoflower fem pollen and I put it on a photoperiod will the seeds come out some autos and some photos is that correct or?

Autoflower is a recessive trait. You will get no autoflowers in the first generation. You will need to breed multiple generations.

Why not knock up another auto instead ?

I run two autos in solo … CS / STS one of them and pollinate the other . Once pollinated dump the DONER . Grow out the pollinated fem.

not all autos are crossed with ruderalis, some are a cross of indica and sativa. but you may get some autos from my limited understanding. but as above, why not cross an auto with an auto, much better chance of getting auto seeds

Do it all the time ... I “ sacrifice “ two of same strain , cuz I’m a cheap ass and hate online seed hunting.

You will still get some variations tho . But part of the fun. Keep some pollen for storage / study the first gen grows , pick a keeper ( or two ) , knock up that one or more.

I try to save Mephisto seeds in a similar method .... except I CS a lower branch with a foam collar , let it throw lady nuts ( removed for pollen collecting ) and dust a couple of tagged branches that throw preflower then let plant run as normal ....

Harvest all non pollinated bud / harvest those lowers with seed or leave them to continue maturing if needed.

you'll have to cite your source on that bud because that sounds 100% incorrect to me.

if your talking about Iranian auto flower, its not a true autoflower

ill try and find it, it stated that the strain was just sativa and indicsa, i thaught it was odd, but thats what it stated. dam, noe in going to habve to try and find it. it must surly be a fuck up on the suite, as ,as you say, it has ruderalis in the mix for auto flowering. i thaugght at the timre it was just two early flowering sativas and indica variaties
