question about classified section

could we have the ability to edit the first post of our own topic after the time limit has expired so that we can update our trade list. for example say i have a list of items for sale as they are sold one at a time i can edit the first post in the thread and mark them as sold or add other items to said post or say add aditional shipping instructions or whatever.

sorry no, i cant make the edit specific to a section, editing abilities are removed after 12 hours its a safety /security thing but i can do it for you :) just message me what you want and ill do it

You can allow editing threads/posts on a specific node, so you would just need to create a new node (called Marketplace, Trading etc) then move the Classifieds forum out of "The Grow Room" and in to the new Marketplace/Trading node. Then you can give it custom editing options rather than inheriting them from the whole forum.

thanks but you arent the owner of the forumand he wants things a specific way so no.
when i say no and icant it isnt always the specifics of the xenforo more so what we at rollitup want.

i know the admin panel but thank you for helping

No worries, just thought i would mention it to save you the work of you manually editing the classifieds posts.

I don't even know who the owner is here, does he/she post on the forums? RIU is an awesome place. Hope the owner blocks the Chinese XRumer spam flooding the forum as it's easy to stop.

I report to him what’s happening
But he doesn’t post on the forum or use it much ever

Ok cool, well please let him know he's done a fantastic job. I'm also a big fan of the minimalist front end look with forums just like this place is.
