Questions for someone with an idea

If there was a way for me to download or receive all data activities from a social media accounts including videos comments history chat history purchase history likes and favourites, could I convert that information in a particular multimedia format?
Who would I need to do the the technical aspects of this job?
How is profit made from data (I get that it’s sold), especially if I got the data above? How and Who do I sell it to?
(Sort of separate question) Is anyone also familiar with the Sign in with LinkedIn feature on job applications?
Any advice would help!

I have wondered the same thing. In fact an app designed to “unlock” your own data for personal use would be huge!

Even the data collected when not on social media. I mean we all know our weather app listens to our words and can and will direct ads to what your were talking about, supposedly in private.

Tbh the reasons I wanted this app was to prove my point In arguments with the wife.

“ I never said that, your crazy”

Me…. “Fuck that let’s go back and look”. The data exist right?

Lots of applications where this info would be powerful In our own hands instead of the marketing firm

A friend of mine visited me, we toked & talked about his neighbour buying a used gs Lexus that needed little minor repair. After he left I picked up my Sam tab, opened YouTube, on the home screen there were a couple recommended videos talking about Lexus gs repair & parts :D.
Someone is spying.

Always. This is the main reason I quit social media (besides forums). The USER is not actually the consumer of the platform but the PRODUCT. This product is collected and organized and sold to the highest bidder who wants a direct line into the wallet of the USER.

it’s all about time. How much attention can be collected by Facebook is a tight algorithm that’s unbelievably accurate. Not only do they have little tidbits of our conversations ( usually legally through other apps like weather app) butFacebook knows exactly which news feed/ story to direct to the PRODUCT/USER to get an emotional response From each individual. Thus spending more time and attention and more $ from advertiser and data collectors.
I imagine with the advent of apple watches and similar devices which track heart rate and other vitals it just adds to their data.
Here’s and example.
Johnny is talking to his friend about a Lexus. Wow sweet! Those are cool let’s get a few adds in his feed…. Well that’s not enough. Johny also is struggling with a hard break up… feels like a Lexus might get him a new girlfriend. Ok let’s go through Johnny’s history and find all his past relationships, maybe a reminder of how happy his high school girlfriend is, now married and wealthy and happy. This makes Johny feels inadequate, vitals showing slight agitation on Apple Watch, and now he is more prone to spending time on Facebook looking at profiles and trying to get out of his Slump meet a new girl. Ok perfect time for Cupid finder.net add, that didn’t work fire the cute puppies!!! Quick johny is about to log off! What’s the last attempt to keep is attention!! I don’t know….. but the algorithm does. It’s all programming. The math is too good there’s too much data. We are all fucked. And the kids nowadays… brainwashed to think the online world is real life. They will all sign up for Metta in a heartbeat. I wait they already are signed up being on Facebook.
