I used eight jiffy pellets, and two root riot cubes. I need more cubes and I want to check them out next to each other. Plus I am doing another grow with root riot cubes and wanted to have level ground on a few plants anyway.

You will need to be patient as well to follow along. If it takes 100+ days, all I have to say is...
I hope it's worth it. :bigjoint:

That's what I heard as well. Root riots are $25 for 100. Jiffy pellets are about $3. We will see difference in a few days. I thought I was saving a lot until I did the math. lol. Twenty five cents a piece shouldn't break the average grower. lol.

ill wait 5 months for a pure landrace sativa... over a 2 month something from the UK.. ive grown several sativas that flower 100+ days and its always worth the wait... one thing to remember with mostly sativas/ pure sativas that flower long like that is you hardly have to veg them(some can go strait into flower when they have there first set of true leaves and end up being over a meter tall easy) they grow for the first 4-5 weeks in flower...

Do you use tomato cages? If not, it might be worth looking in to. My Kali Mist runs 100+ days, and the best way I've found to manage the stretch is to tie them off around tomato cages as they grow, and you can also really open things up in the middle to allow better light penetration to the bottom of the plant.

Best of luck!

Well you certainly put that in perspective for me. Thanks. I have not considered short veg time cuz of length. You know if that the case then the time difference is the same as short strain cuz I try to veg longer. I will want to veg it long enough to get good cuttings anyway. Thanks for tips kindfarms.

No I haven't veg many too big yet cuz I am searching through several strains for what I want. I was initially doing ebb n gro buckets and was going to hook tomato cages to buckets. I will get some, no problem. What size buckets you use with your Kali? So, you figure I should top early and start training them? I have a few that I have all tied over and shit. lol.

I grow in soil, and use a #5 bucket. I veg my KM for 3 weeks, top above the 2'nd true node set and take cuttings for clones. I veg them for another week and then flip them to flower. I train the lower node set to wrap around the bottom circular wire of the tomato cage by crossing the branches in the middle of the cage, and then tying them off in a circular pattern around the cage. The top node set is trained around the top circular wire of the tomato cage in the same fashion. This keeps the canopy manageable, and allows for a wine glass shape for light penetration through the inside of the tomato cage.

I didn't do this my first run with KM, and it was a fucking mess by about week 5 of flower!

Damn. Sounds like a plan. If another plan sounds as good or better then we will split them up and experiment. If not we will do them all like like that. Your bucket sounds small. That's about 4 gallon. Honestly I was gonna go atleast 7 gallon. But you have been going good with your Kali. Thanks.

I could certainly upgrade to larger buckets, but I honestly don't have the room. If you plan on vegging for any longer than 3-4 weeks, a bigger bucket would probably be the way to go.

I will go with 5 or 7s. I will take a clone and put it in a 10 or 15. I keep hearing bigger root - bigger fruit. I do this all the time. More than likely I will make plans then get to store and end with a mixture of 4 different sizes to get 10 cuz of poor stock. lol.

some of the WORLDS BEST sativas go longer than a 100 days i suggest you try it if your into REALLY GOOD sativas that blow anything away people just dont have the patience to flower a plant that long but if they realized the end result i guarantee that you'll always have some personal stash pure sativa that will blow you away
