Rate my light please.

So I’m really really worried these light won’t be enough for my grow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It would depend on the size of your growing area. If you have a 4x4 tent then you would easily need 15 -20 those lights in there. They are weak and I personally wouldn’t waste my money on them.

you get what you pay for bud, those are good for clones and seedlings

Says they are great for all stages though. Just sucks.

No kidding. 2 weeks in dirt though. And they are doing amazing so far.

Those are weak diodes so you need closer to 50W/square foot. 4x8x50W = 1600W divide that by 42W (if they actually draw that from the wall) and that comes out to 38 of those lights you would need.

Seedling and vegetation stages don’t need nearly as much light. You will get small airy buds in flower under what you have.

Man I really appreciate the wisdom you are sharing. And recommendations for lights?

So I will be good with these lights until I wanna start flowing? That would help me out a lot. Give me a few weeks to get the money for new lights

The plants will grow at a slower rate than they could but they’ll be fine for seedling and early to mid veg. If you have a tight budget then check out the DIY builds in the LED section. That’s by far the cheapest way to get quality lighting. Otherwise I would recommend HLG Quantum Boards or Timber lights.

Don’t fret. After a few years, you’ll be tripping over stuff you bought..I still get upset over losing a seed, and yes it hurts _i never thought I’d be addicted to growing _enjoy the ride and good luck bro

Check out spider farmer. They have good quantum boards. You can flower 1 plant w the sf1000. Think it’s maybe 100 bucks on amazon. Or you can run a 4x4 with the sf4000. I got Both the hlg and the spider farmer. Both great. The SF cost me less than half if I remember correctly.

Best bang for your buck is an HID. LED's grow some great weed but you pay for the good lights.

$119 for 600 true watts. $153 for 1000 watts. $30 dollars more for a sealed hood.

Thinking I’m might go with Mars hydro 2000. Seems they will work well for my 4’x 8’. I’m sure for flowering I may need some extra lighting but should suffice.
