Re-fitting my veg tent for a SOG grow

Hey all, it's been a bit! I moved and got a little busy, but I'm still growing.

I recently ordered a bunch of autos for a change of pace which means my veg tent has been looking all sad and empty. I also have a bunch of old feminized seeds that I should probably do something with. So, , why not just crack a whole bunch of em and do a SOG grow?

Things is, I've never done a SOG grow, so I wanted to run my planned setup by you all. Feel free to comment or critique, or just plain tell me I'm an idiot!

My tent is only 18"x36"x36". I'd be using a Spider Farmers SF-1000 LED grow light. I'd upgrade my vent fan to a 175 CFM pushing air into a scrubber outside the tent to maximize the space. I'm hoping to squeeze 6-8 plants in there in some 2.5L felt pots I have. Veg to about 6" tall then flip.

Thoughts? Will I have enough head room? Am I trying to cram too many plants in there? Am I good to go or just plain thinking too much?

Its not the plant count, its the unknown height of the plants when you flip them, I cant imagine a foot and a half is gona work. I don't think I could scrog in that space with that light and a scrog is a lot more controlled than a SOG

I use LEDs and they have to be 18" above my buds.
These tiny tents are for cloning or propagating , seems people don't care to mention that these days when they are selling them though.

Thanks for the response! The height is definitely my concern. To be clear though, since I always put dimensions in the wrong order, it's 18"Wx36"Lx36"H. The planters are 5" tall, so if I flipped the plants at 5-6” tall, the hope would be they would max out around 12" tall, giving me just shy of 18" from the bud to the light.

Sounds like a serious gamble. The extra height is more valuable than footprint

Word. Sounds like a no go then. The consensus is not enough vertical space. Maybe I'll just invest in a bigger tent. I could use a third tent for drying anyways. It's always been a bit of juggling when harvest time comes anyways.
I had a microgrow for a while. Used stunting to keep them short. It worked.
Repotting right before flower, trimming into flower. Probably hurt yields but it was effective.
It is doable, just a pita

Lol when I was reading earlier I registered 36" as the height but was still thinking of it as 1.5ft , cant think why but I did!
All you can do is try I guess. But I would of thought the best option would be to use less plants and bend them 90 degrees as soon as your half way through stretch. , slap a screen over them to pin them down.

Haha, I'd just blame the smoke!

That's definitely a consideration. I was just hoping to crack a whole bunch of these seeds at once and see which ones I liked enough to reorder. They're pretty much all freebies I got with orders over the past few years. But if I don't feel like springing for a bigger tent I could probably just crack two or three, do a short veg, then train them like you suggest and use what I've got.
