Rhode Island medical marijuana program is only open to patients who have debilitating medical conditions. Licensed physicians can provide medical cannabis consulting RI and recommendation if the patient has one or more of the following medical conditions:
1. Cancer or cancer treatment including chemotherapy, radiation, etc. 2. Glaucoma or glaucoma treatment 3. HIV/AIDS or HIV/AIDS treatment 4. Hepatitis C or treatment for Hepatitis C 5. Cachexia or wasting syndrome 6. Severe, debilitating, chronic pain 7. Severe nausea 8. Seizures, including but not limited to those characteristics of epilepsy 9. Severe and persistent muscle spasms Multiple sclerosis 10.Crohn’s disease 11.Agitation related to Alzheimer’s Disease 12. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) – The patient must be 18+ or older In order to get a medical RI marijuana card, you must be a resident of the Island state.
To be approved for a RI medical marijuana card, you can submit a copy of one proof of residency that has your name and current address. Once you are approved and with RI medical marijuana card in hand, you can purchase any cannabis from any of Rhode Island’s compassion centers or dispensaries.
