Really big fan leaves

My fan leaves on my girls are huge. That’sa good thing right? My hands are like 8.5 inches from palm to middle finger tip

They look great to me . What strain ?

There’s 4 different. 1 is def Nicole and 1 is def GDP. The other 2 are either GSC, zkittles or blueberry. I didn’t label them like a newbie

yeah are def smaller than my last grow but a lot more dense, if that makes sense.

I had some la confidential that had some very large fan leaves like those.. although they were skinnier

I topped all 3 except the top right in the orientation of the picture. The fan leaves just got so big that you can’t see the 2 tops underneath them

Does it affect the penetration of the light below having them so big? They were not that big maybe like a week ago when I topped.

Also, should I still expect them to stretch in flower and grow like 2-3 times in size? I’m planning on manifolding the tops when they get to their 4th node. This Friday will be 5 weeks since sprouting.

Im sure you’re fine its always better to have some big leaves than smaller ones, im dure it does affect penetration just be sure to keep an eye out for side branching..if thats the case you may want to consider pruning larger leaves to let sid branching come along

No I doubt they’ll stretch.. how tall is your tent and what lighting are you using

it’s a 4x4x6 room with 4 qb96 at 480w a pair I believe

Should I still reserve them some space in case they do? Last grow they were in a 5ft tent and were touching the tops not getting any light

Im not familiar with those lights.. but 480 in a 4x4 should be plenty..im sure those plants wont stretch much.. they look like single colas atm, you may want to think about getting a couple more tops going

No wonder the density, fucken right! Doing great, just do what your doing.are you sure all 4 arent 480w? Thats good but double is wow! Penetration from todsys lights is way deeper than hps imo! Im pretty sure your lights penetrate at least a foot or two through canopy.

If the previous lights were a little too much you may want to bush them out a bit but make sure that they hace some top.. try and maximize your grow area
