Hi all,

i'm using Maxibloom with Lucas formula in 100% perlite hempy's since 5 years at the moment.

The only addittive i use is giving 2-3 times during 5th week of flowering Bloombastic because i see really helps with tricomes production.

Now the question is: Do you think that i can really improve something (yield, flavor ecc..) by switching to another nutes line? (i'm thinking about H&G)

i'm a grower who is skeptical about fancy nutes like Advanced and i don't want to deal with 50 bottles for growing 5-6 plants.....

And what about space/light?

I'm growing 4 plants in 1,2mx1,2mx2m space with a gavita 750de @400w for veg and @750w for flowering.

I've done numerous grows using only maxi bloom and kool bloom! It is all that is needed! Great results... just my 2 cents

I went from hempy bucket back to soil. Still use Maxibloom/Lucas formula. I am going to stick with soil. Is it better? Hmm. Hard to say since I'm always using different genes. both do a superb job and it's cheap, simple and easy which is my style.

I've tried hydro. Just hate PHing all the time which is another bonus for soil vs hempy. Hempy I used CalMag and phed. Soil it's just tap water and a small scoop that's it. Plus in soil you don't have to water as often overall. Keep in mind I'm micro. I just like my dank the cheapest and easiest route.

#GrowUrOwnDank how are you feeding both nutes? Im in ffof & plan to supplement with Maxibloom @ around week 3/4. I've had nitrogen problems & think the Lucas formula may be a good addition.

When I did hempy bucket I used a small scoop of Maxibloom along with 1 ml CalMag to a gallon of water. Of course you would have to add ph up to get your ph at 5.8 or so. In soil I just a scoop per gallon that's it. No ph either. Easy peasy. I did have a nitro problem once when I fed them too early in hot soil and te leaves got dark and the tips curled down. It worked out tho. No real harm just had to feed straight water a couple of times.

Lucasformula.com. That's it. Nothing special I just follow the direction really.

I feel my nitrogen is falling off just as I'm starting to flower (autos, yeah I know!), so I've started adding Maxi bloom & seeing nice results. Been seeing Lucas formula and understand its a two part formula. Was wondering if you use maxibloom AND Lucas formula or are you just using the Lucas per schedule? Thanks

In the formula you can use several different nutes. Maxibloom is just one choice. You could also use the GH 3 part and other nutes as well. I haven't tried them all so, whatever works for you. I just choose Maxibloom. From the link.

"Lucas Formula using General Hydroponics Dry Nutrients (Maxibloom)
MaxiBloom and MaxiGro are dry nutrient also from General Hydroponics. It turns out, Maxibloom, used in a ratio of 7 grams per gallon of water*, is very close to the original Lucas Formula (above.) You do not need MaxiGro, and so this is the cheapest and easiest recipe to use.

Add 7 grams of Maxibloom into 1 gallon of water*, and then adjust the pH, and stir vigorously to dissolve the Maxibloom in the water. I advise putting the 7g of Maxibloom into a cup of warm water, dissolving it, and then adding it to the remaining gallon of water, before pH adjusting and mixing again."

It's cheap and so easy. I have found that the small scoop that came in the package is close enough to 7 grams. I think I measured it once a long while back. I do not PH anymore. I use tap and I don't really have to. You may have to until you have your own system dialed in. Check the link above for other nutes you can use and a better explanation.

know this is old.. but what kind of soil is best for the maxibloom method.. i have an abundance of peat perlite and bus blend mixed up already. i don’t know soil ph, though i plan to do my soil slurry to find out if it’s too acidic. and also i don’t know what to adjust ph to for my particular mix?
