Reliable 1:1 or 2:1 from seed

Since getting my medical card and having access to a wide variety of strains, I've found that the best effects (for me) come from strains with a CBD:THC ratio in the 1:2 to 2:1 range.

It would be nice to grow my own with that sort of CBD:THC ratio. From what I've read, though, it seems like there are some strains available with reliably high CBD/very low THC, but the strains with a ratio closer to 1:1 can have a wide range of phenotypes/cannabinoid ratios.

I don't have access to known clones or testing labs at the moment, so are there strains out there that do produce a reliable/consistent ratio from seed?

I'd say there is actually a good amount of stability in many breeders highcbd / lowthc seeds today.
Generally any breeder/project with involvement from the CBD Crew should hit the mark.

These have been great
  • 00 Seeds - Chocolate Skunk CBD (~1:1 amazing aroma, terps, resin, yield.. new fav maybe)
  • 00 Seeds - White Widow CBD (higher cbd production, 2:1, 3:1, not as exotic terps in some phenos, good yield.)
  • Barneys Farm - Critical Cure CBD (~1.5:1 good terps and effects. fruity, spicy, pine, average yield)
  • HSO - Green Crack CBD (very strong mango terps, short branched plant. ~2:1, large yield)
  • Dinafem - CBD Plus (25:1 or so, citrus terps and great resin production, takes weeks longer to dry. this strain's effects won't satisfy most people, but its nice to mix-in or use for oil)
  • Expert Seeds - Clinical White CBD (This one claims 2:1, but felt strong like many thc strains, sativa. Still a great strain, but just beware)

Also currently checking out Harlequin Fast, Dutch Passion - CBD Kush, and more many more mixed CBD Crew.

My recommendation is to start with 1:1 or 2:1. The 00 Seeds are very cheap ($25 ish) and could be a good start. Critical Cure is also a major CBD go-to.
If having trouble finding seeds, then lower thc strains like Flo are also an option I'd recommend.

So yeah the clone-only, tested CBD strains are a good solution if available, but not sure I'll go back after seeing some of what the recent CBD fem seeds can do. No need =D

Hope that helps, good luck grower!

Dang, that's good to know, I guess my knowledge is a little outdated.

Thank you for list of suggestions, I'm definitely gonna do some more research. A 1:1 Harlequin is my current go-to from the dispo, good luck with your grow of it!
