Not to sound jaded but if anyone was paying attention at the time, none of this is really new news. Prior to 1/6, it perhaps seemed to most more like a feeble protest by congressmen from the side that lost. Regardless of how deep the planning to delegitimization Biden’s election and/or somehow keep Trump in office may have gone, they almost certainly aren’t going to get prosecuted over this. It is a house investigation not a criminal one. Political theatre and there are not enough votes in the house to do more than maybe censure a few members.
These congressmen don’t have cover from the Oval Office anymore but this is not going anywhere. To believe otherwise is fantasy akin to Lindell believing Trump would be magically reinstated to office in August.
Not being a dick or disagreeing with you, just the reality as I see it here.

ignoring this will only embolden them to do it again....must be prosecuted or set a deadly precedent

I disagree. Prosecutions, indictments, criminal referrals are coming. Just not yet. I’ll stake a beer on it.

I’m not ignoring it. 1/6 was the most horrifying day I’ve experienced since 9/11. Maybe more horrifying, definitely fresher and raw right now.
My point is that house investigations aren’t criminal ones and are overtly political.
Any prosecutions need would come from DOJ. I really am not convinced Garland will go down that road with sitting members of Congress. I may be wrong.
Some of the clowns that stormed the Capitol are fucked however. Shit rolls downhill in DC.

Word. Plus, sure we all knew it when the leader of the peanut butter boys was touring the capitol before 1/6, but it's another thing when it's documented, because documenting it is the path to accountability.
Ok I’ll ask: what are peanut butter boys?
