I wanted to share some of my journey with this new indoor grow. This will be a running log for all my grows. Feel free to comment on whatever you like.

These grows will all be soil as I feel most comfortable with it. This will be the third try. The two tries before this ended up with mite infestations. Both bad and I tried beneficial bugs but it was too late. Scrapped all the plants and started over with clean equipment, new procedures/rules, and a new tent. Other tent was a 5x9 and just too large for the room. All the plants have been ILGM GDP and GSC. I bought 20 of each when I first started this adventure last summer. I have 3 of each right now in the flower tent and 16 total in the veg tent. I used all that I had left so it will be some of the better genetics after that. They are serving as test plants while I get this indoor stuff dialed in I guess. I'm not going to clone any of these plants.

I'm running eight HLG 135 watt RSpecs currently. When this run is over I will be adding two 260 watt RSpecs to that which will make it 50 watts per sqft. Also will be making some frames for the 135s to double them up. Next round I will also add two of the far red flower initiator 730nm bulbs.

For air flow there is 8" Active Air fans with Active Air 8"x24" carbon filter. One 16" wall mount and one tower fan to blow inside the tent. Inkbird humidity/temp environment controllers have been working great. Have a large dehu but forgot the brand and size. It was about $200 from Lowes. Small ceramic heater and humidifier from amazon random brands. Two small clip fans for the lights.

FFOF soil with random nutes atm. Currently using GH Maxibloom at the start of flower. Then switched over to FF Zulu Charlie. I had used these a few years ago outdoors and did well. Will be changing up to jacks or grow more after these are gone. It wasn't overly expensive but it could be cheaper for sure. Veg nutes are a hodgepodge of GO and GH. I will be finding something else for that too when this stuff runs out.

Here is a couple pics I took along the way. This is the start of 3 GDP and 3 GSC in the veg tent. They were all topped too much so now in flower its kinda floppy and weak.

Flower tent. I fought with my stepfather on putting the nets up. He has the flower tent and I have the veg tent in different houses. Not ideal but its what we got. He didn't want the nets till he saw them up. By that point it was well too late. He learned the lesson this time lol. Just trying to push thru this and then some changes will be made. Also we did a fixed light point and that is fucking us as well lol. It is what it is. Still no bugs tho so its a win so far.

Took a recount from my seed strain notebook after reorganizing and putting them in the freezer. Including freebies I have 295 strains with 11 more on the way. After these 420 sales I will prob take a short brake on buying more for a few months. Trying to keep it to holiday sales now. 3-5 times a year sounds pretty good. No point in saying I'm gonna stop completely cause I'm not. Still a lot of stuff that I want.

Flower tent is lookin pretty good. It could be and will be much better next round. Branches are flopped all over the place. Learning is fun lol. Here is a couple shots of the different phenos of GSC and GDP. Only took shots of 5 tho. Only one I didn't get was the only one with super maturation of the pistils. Waaaay faster than all the others.
I'm gonna back off the calmag as I think its pushing too much N. I'm only using 50-100ppm in my mix but prob don't need it at all. I've already switched over the flower nutes to a lower N as well. That was about 2-3 weeks ago and I expected the green to recede a little but its slower than I thot. Must be the calmag. I think the water has been too frequent as well. Hard for the old man to lift up the pot when they are in the back. Idk prob just keep it to every 3 days water.

I saved all the shorter phenos that seem to be a bit bushier and let go of all the ones that had any stretch over 3-4 " between nodes. Got these on an 18/6 schedule now. I'm pretty sure the flower tent is gonna run about 2-4 weeks past what I had hoped.

I must have taken 10 pics of buds and they all came out somewhat blurry. They're getting thicker for sure. Got one plant that is losing leaves but hangin in there. Seems to be finicky with water I'd assume. A few others have some leaf discoloration and others nothing. Not too worried about it. The buds still look great.

Today marks 12 weeks of 12/12. Prob lookin at a solid 10 week flower time so far. Prob gonna let it go another 2-4 weeks. Definitely too long for what I had hoped but might have something to do with my lights being too high.

They are stackin up in these final weeks. Shit is laying everywhere. These branches are pretty damn flimsy. No breakage yet tho. Prob gonna come down in 2 weeks. There is quite a bit of new pistils popping up. I touched a few on sat and damn it was pretty stinky. You can see the difference in the GSC as it has those long fingers. I keep telling the old man to check the weights of the pots before watering. They look overwatered. They have some claw. He's quite fucking stubborn and its a learning process for him too lol.

Veg tent is coming along. Trying to get these much bigger before the flip than the last ones. I think I will use the 3 gal from now on. It's much slower and wider growth which fits nicely. I got some that started to stretch again in the 2 gal. They'll be fine.

Day 93. I'm gonna be taking prob 1-2 of them down this weekend. They are limping along and have deteriorated pretty bad. Buds still look great tho. Leaves are dying off much faster than the others. Most of them will stay another week, hopefully two. Cant say I'll let them go longer than that. These buds are super dense too. The veg tent needs to be emptied.

Day 95...Took down the smallest and ugliest looking plant tonight. It could have went longer but were on a schedule and these genetics get no special treatment lol. Set the dry room to perfect temps and will wait to see what we got. Feels nice taking down the first bit of indoor weed that was finally successful(so far). Smoke day will tell. Here is a couple shots of that close up shit. The last pic is one that's still going I believe.

Took down all the plants last night. They were ready. A few had some pretty decent sized buds on there. See if they're any good soon. I didnt take any pics tho. Same ole shit.
Got those hanging and will start cleaning the tent tmrw. Add in the two far red flower bulbs. Also install two of the 260 watt HLGs. Reroute the intake air from outside to inside the room. Install 2 more fans on the ends of the tent if they fit.

Sat will head to the grow shop for some soil and perlite. Will look into something like those rockwool algae caps to keep the dirt from rutting out on top of the pots. Once I have all that done I will start the transport with a tall U-Haul box that I might have to make 8 trips with. Plants are way bigger than last time and I'm stoked on even more yield. Prob spend all Sunday repotting them into 7 gal and lolli popping all of them. Throw in the first layer of net to stretch into and that's prob it. Flip to 12/12 and wait.

Got the tent all cleaned up and ready to go. I noticed some spots that looked like water damage to my tent liner. I think my trays are just a little too small now that the plant elevators are in there. Prob had some spill over the side or the old man is lying and let the trays overflow with water and didn't clean anything up. I'm gonna go with the latter lol. I moved my Inkbird controllers closer to the entrance. I hated having to reach over the plants to adjust them. Now they are located up top on the left when I open the tent. I removed the tower fan on the floor and put the dehumidifier there instead.

The two HLG 260 watt lights were added to make a total of 1600 watts now. I did forget to buy the socket plugs for the far red bulbs which I will do tmrw. I left the lights at max height as these new plants will be big. I'll figure out a new multirack system soon so I can get appropriate distances from the plants. I also added two more 16" oscillating fans to the sides of the tent. Now we have some major air movement. I don't think it was too big of a problem before but its for sure not a weak spot.

Got all the plants out of the veg tent and transplanted to the flower tent today. Had to buy some #4 perlite since they were out of regular stuff. I had a tiny bit left over that I divided up tho. I did grab some worm poop and mixed in a healthy scoop of that per plant. First time using that. Pretty cheap too. That perlite wasn't but it was a huge bag.

I still need to hook up one more of the far red light fixtures tmrw and I'll be completely done. I will flip to 12/12 tmrw as well. One of my HLG 135 wouldn't come back on. Kinda bummed it already has a prob. I took it out and tried it on a separate outlet but nothing. Tried adjusting the gains too. Will email tmrw and see what they can do. I'm sure they will take care of me.

Had an email from HLG by the time I got to work this morning. Awesome customer service. They will be sending a new power supply out and will include a return shipping ticket for the old one. Once I get that I will put it back in the tent.

I also got the other far red flower bulb in the tent but I forgot the timer. Still need to research a little for run times tho. 12/12 flip was initiated last night. 8am-8pm this time so its easier to work when the lights are on. Last run of GSC and GDP from ILGM.

Next run will be 4 strains of 2 seeds each. Prob something from Useful, Clearwater, HumCSI, and Rado.

Sampled some the first plant cut down at a slow dry for 14 days and it pretty much is garbage. I sampled the other five and have very little hope for anything I wanna smoke. Pretty disappointing. Not sure I should even waste the time and money on this next batch. Kinda want to rip them out to save the heartache. I cant even describe a flavor profile. They don't have one. Pipe resin has a better and more uniform profile than this shit. I didnt think it would be the best weed but damn this is not good. Prob just turn it all into hash.

They are growing great but who gives a shit if its sucks? Gonna drop some new seeds in water tmrw. This adventure so far is still a fail. I've spent thousands and still cant grow a bag of weed for myself lol. Life is a trip carnal!
