Rooting Hormone in Soil?

Getting ready to up-pot transplant. Thought about adding a sprinkle of rooting hormone in with my grow medium as I mix it, like I do the fertilizer. Using one part soil, one part perlite. Would it be beneficial at all to do this? Like would it promote faster/bigger root growth? Anyone ever done it and have results to share? Open for discussion...

I believe rooting hormone doesn't actually stimulate root growth. I believe it only softens the stem of a cutting to help it begin producing roots. Not sure if that would work on roots as well or not.

Superthrive is a watered-down rooting hormone. Plus the label is a fabulous read. Alfalfa tea is an incredibly effective rooting tonic. It is easy to make and much cheaper than bottled stuff.

Alfalfa tea recipe. One athletic sock filled with alfalfa meal and suspended in a 5 gallon bucket of water with an air stone at the bottom. Brew for a few hours and use at full strength. YOu will be very pleased with the results. Prof.Snook

Is Superthrive that stuff I saw on the shelves at Lowe's with the super busy label that claims to be a cure for everything? I didn't get it cuz I was just like anything with a label trying this hard has got to be a gimmick...
