I just been putting 1 or 1.5 grams in a pollen thing then pressing the bare bud in the parchment.
My press goes up to 4 tons and I have been using pretty much full pressure.
At 220 degrees
For about 90 seconds
What am I doing wrong?
I'm using baking culinary parchment paper siliconized.
I did try to double it. Rosin was found on 4 sides! What could I be doing wrong? Maybe 220 degrees is too high... And pressure is too much PSI since I am using just one small puck with 4 tons. I guess I can try to lower to 200 degrees, use 2 pucks and double the parchment. Maybe even add a micron bag as well...
When you press, start slooooow....allow the plates to just touch the material( in the parchment) to warm things up, then slowly begin applying pressure in stages...the smaller the puck , the less pressure...
More heat = more viscous material...
Low pressure and temp will give waiver type extractions, to almost shatter consistency, strain specific of course.
Play with less desirable material until you get it down.
KEEP THE PUCKS...infuse butter or oil with them.
Good luck and have fun, that's the point.
