I'm hoping that the 2 c-99 will pop soon but I'm so stoked about the Panama Red I've been waiting a very long time to grow this strain it is the first one that I did with my grandfather so there is a lot of hope going on over ear
Panama Red is going to be an awesome grow Jeff, amazing genetics from the crossroads of two continents. I usually find that the seeds I select for nostalgia, end up being much better than current popular strains. I'll give a smoke report on my first Cindy plant soon, but it turned out excellent-it's just a really good, potent, sativa heavy cross with good terps-really reminds me of the stuff I loved smoking in 98/99 like AK47, Kali Mist and Jack Herrer. I hope the C99 pops for you!

Here are a couple of Sweet Tooth #4. I'll get a few more pics of these when I finish trimming tomorrow, but I love how the Sweet Tooth turned out. After you cut an hang them, then just start reeking of essential oils and they really hold onto their terps well while drying. Super consistent frosty buds, and after a little testing I'd say the potency is there too. I'm probably the most impressed by the Sweet Tooth so far from the FDM strains as far as final bud quality, and definitely so far as consistency of plants. Only issue I've had was some botrytis in the largest cola, really a shame, it's always the chonkiest colas that get mold. One of these plants got really crazy foxtails:

That's the craziest fox tail I've seen do you have an idea of why but they all look frosty and tasty :weed: :peace:
I'm not sure Jeff, I see those crazy ones once in a while. My friend had one Sweet Tooth with the same foxtails and one next to it without, so I think it's genetic, but also definitely stimulated by strong light. This Sweet Tooth #4 bud turned out very nice, exactly how Top Shelf bud should be-sticky, resinous, and really potent terps. All of the Sweet Tooth that my friend grew, also ended up the same way. It's all identical bud, behaves like an IBL.

I'd like to thank HLG and @pop22 for their generosity and the chance to test out the HLG 650R. This is my first quantum board type LED, and previously have used all manner of HID, as well as a Medic Grow Fold-8 bar light, and a Mars Hydro FC6500. I'm glad to finally try out an HLG. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was surprised at how heavy it is-that's a solid chunk of metal! It's easier to maneuver around than the bar lights though, because they fold and this one is a single, solid piece. It's VERY bright compared to a bar light. So far I can see one issue that I might have, which is, my vent fan will get in the way if I cinch up the rope rachets all the way, but when that time comes, I can just move it.

Very bright at 40%

This is a good option for people with arthritis, even though it's kind of heavy, it's not super awkward to move around like the bar lights. I'll update this thread more and more as the crop takes off and will update weekly once I flip to 12/12.

Off topic: Here is my little Strawberry Cough clone that I reversed with STS. It was stunted for a week after the 3rd sts spray, but now it is taking off again and the new growth is healthy, so I think it will be fine. We have to do so much waiting in this hobby!!

I'll be growing Cinderella 99 F4s from Fleur Du Mal seeds this time around and I can't wait to see how they do under this light! It really is super bright, I plan on being very careful since it's my first time with this type of light, which is much more concentrated than my bar lights.

Thank you all for checking out my grow journal! I'll definitely keep my other thread going with my other thoughts and ideas about growing and breeding, as well as my reversal projects.
This light was on my Christmas list . Santa was good to you ! I have back issues and like these Quantum boards for ease of hanging . I’m thinking of doing just 3 of these that cover a 3x5 flower footprint and just add lights as the crop spreads . Your girls look very happy .

Thank you very much! The Sweet Tooth is just awesome, I've smoked a bit off of mine and my friend's plants, and next to each other, you could not tell a difference between the buds. They went a full 14 weeks and are just perfectly ripe. It's great old school smoke and I can see why extract makers loved it back in the day, I have no doubt anyone who likes hash making or any extract making would love it.

There is no contest, if you have back/mobility issues, HLG's boards are the way to go unless you have a helper handy. A 3x5 tent will be sweet! I find 3x3s to be much easier to deal with reaching in the back than 4x4s, so I like that 3x 5 idea.

Ohh that looks good Jeff! Let me know how you like that Durban, the Terpinolene dominant strains always seem to hit hard!
O it still hits like a frate train and the taste is on point I'm happy with it but I'm thinking that there 30% and mine are worlds away from each other yuppers but I'm still happy hopefully you are doing well and staying safe

Keeping them in the 8 oz cups actually had caused some lower leaf issues by the time I transplanted to the normal solo cups. I'm going to use the same 1.5 gal air pots this time, but I'm thinking of doing 8 cola mainlines with these but still keep the plants small (minimal veg time). I haven't had budrot issues when I grow smaller colas, and I just grew a bunch of 4 cola plants and just prefer the smaller colas I get with 8 in general. Mainlining also slows down the growth rate by stunting the plant when you first start-I feel like it slows them down a good week or so over starting with 4 main branches, and that might be helpful with the haze. I'll wait to top these until they're a bit bigger. They exploded in growth 2 days after being transplanted-I think starting seeds in any smaller pot than a solo cup or 3" pot isn't helpful in any way. I think these are around 3 weeks?

I just gave out seedlings to my 2 local buddies who grow, and everyone was impressed by the Cherry Bomb seedlings, they each got one.

Fingers crossed for a cool pheno!

These Skunk heavy plants are always so easy to grow, just nice undemanding plants.

I've never tried the Alaskan Blueberry cuts before, so I figured a cross between the Goosebay Blueberry and a proven Huckleberry male might be a fun place to start.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and staying warm!
