I've always wondered if these, joti, dutch passion and many others would have a stronger blueberry smell/taste than DJ/ JD at this point because technically they could be closer to the original being they were supplied the genetics so long ago.....but nobody truly knows how any of these other breeders worked/selected as the years went by......or if in fact, they have their original mother plants

I haven't found a single blueberry worth recommending at this point. Sad state of affairs, and just goes to show you why we need more professional horticulturists bringing modern plant breeding techniques to the industry. Anyone can breed a lucky pheno, but not everyone has the skills to keep it around, let alone maintain a strain for decades. The loss of genetic diversity in drug cannabis over the past 30 years is disturbing.

I haven't finished flowering mine out yet but from what I've read, peak seeds bc would be better for the money. Like $40 a pack I think. You could get 4 packs plus freebies for the price of 1 dj that most will tell you is not very good anymore.

From his description:
"I started with a clone of Blueberry in the 1990s from a rich source of clones at the time.

Between 2000-2004 I purchased Dutch Passion, DJ Short and Sagarmatha Blueberry.

In 2006, a fellow breeder from Oregon sent me a nice example of his Blueberry which I bred in.

I consider this to be mostly Indica in appearance and effect."

If you can still get it, the best blueberry in seed form currently is Blue Bonnet from Riot Seeds. I ran a pack and found a beautiful luscious blueberry pheno. There was only one though out of 5 females and the others ranged from floral to earthy, so some searching might be required, but the one I got is excellent. I've run a bunch of blueberry from different breeders, as well as many blueberry clones. This is the best I've come across from seed hands down.

Bummer, I hope I find something good but I only planted 3 but got 3 females at least in three weeks flower now.
I believe he breeds a new generation each year and I ran them close to 10 yrs ago, so maybe he's worked it towards the blueberry pheno. Mine were decent plants anyways, even if they didn't have the nose I was looking for.

No I didn't find any blueberry phenos out of 15 or so females. Mostly musky with some floral and fruity/berry notes. Heavy afghan structure. Good yielding.

DJ's Original Blueberry for me were mostly floral with some earthy and berry notes, and more stretchy, lower yielding, with nice colors.

I found some berry in both, but it was more in the background.

DJ's newer work has more fruity/berry phenos. Happy Pussy in particular has some great fruity/berry terps. Not quite what I'd personally call 'blueberry' but I bet a lot of people would and it was consistent across 3 females I ran as a tester.

DJs newer work Ffs he's not finished his old work.
Cannabis being illegal leaves us wide open to shysters selling shite at eye watering prices...
Maybe I'm expecting to much in expecting what I paid for.

Well if you're looking for blueberry flavor, it's in the Blue Bonnet line. Not sure what's up with the guy selling f3's, but they're cheap enough I'd grab a couple packs and start digging. Hell if it were me, I'd be harassing Riot to sell me some f2's direct. I found mine in a single pack. I'm sure there's even better phenos to be found.
