Scorpion Diablo light stress at 50 percent

Can't really tell from the pics but if you have light stress then all you can do is dim it more maybe aim for 800 and see how that goes.
Doesn't look like you can raise it anymore.

Buying a lux meter was the best equipment decision I've made in years. Having a true reading of what your light is doing is so helpful. I know you have the phone app but try to get a lux meter and then you can get a better understanding of where you are. What signs of light stress are you seeing? It's hard to make out on my phone.

Here I’ll get a close pic, also anyone use this light I just feel like 50 percent is so low, but I also hear that 50 percent uses way more than “half” power, also yes I’m aware its crowded I still have a slight lollipop and defoil coming up

Hopefully somebody that has that light can speak up. I use a watt reader to see what the watts are pulling and then a cheap lux meter to get lux readings that I convert to ppfd. It's far from 100% accurate but it does seem to be repeatable and close which is what I needed. I just upgraded lights this grow and have the same light bleaching you do on my bubba kush plant. The other two are fine but the light was too much for the bubba kush at 70K lux on the gauge. I'm trying to run 50-55K lux to keep the bubba kush from getting worse and that seems to be a safe number.

Also new to led. I finally threw in the towel and bought a par meter, I couldn't figure it out otherwise.

Well that second picture I can see slight purpling. I know light stress can cause some deficiency like symptoms but it looks like they might have a slight phosphorus deficiency. What ec you running?? Without a proper reliable light meter it’s going to be more of a guessing game.

Diablo is a powerful light and hang recommendations are guides only. It’s a balancing act between height and power.
This light has lots power within the closed space of a tent and should powered to what the plants can tolerate. I have used dimmer power and reduced height to canopy with less powerful HLG lights . But these , you gotta be a little less on the throttle. I agree , I can’t see that rig just nuking plants at full 100%.

I run the Blackbird at 22” @ 800-840 umoles canopy for my 3x3. The dimmer is actually only on the 3rd notch. I look for at least lateral leaf spread to tell me where to stop. 900 umole would be the most I feel comfortable with mine. Even tho I have power to spare , I don’t look to ever run 100%.

Even tho I have plenty of gas at the pedal doesn’t mean I need to air-fry them.

My 3x3 “ numbers “ I shoot for is 770-880 ( 900 max )

but I don’t understand? 1000 ppfd on full power at 100 percent? Even the diablo owners manual says it’s above 2000, but I still don’t get the difference between pod and ppfd

Again …. Owner manual numbers are subjective. The plant tells you what it can take.
You need to find a happy medium. BTW - even feeds under some intense led can lead to 20% less fertigation. Been times for me that I never go more than 1.4 EC - higher I get probs. Even Veg , I push 650-750 ppm with dry fert. / Top dress I just do interval dressing thru grow.
Fucking easier.

there’s also a bunch of misinformation out there about this light ppl saying they run 100 percent with no co2 and no issues which is impossible
Just because you can’t do something doesn’t make it impossible.

With proper cal/mag adjustments I can run a 645w Luxx at 100% 2ft from canopy and crush if.

Don’t let all the power in these lights go straight to your head. As @Budzbuddha said.. those lights are powerful.
The plants demand lots of P, K & magnesium with high powered LED’s. I’m currently running a 660w fixture at 18” / 60-80% depending on the temps. It can get up to 83F in there, but humidity is low. 40-45% so in order to keep the plant happy I tone it down. In the end.. you want the plant to be happy & in good shape in order to finish at its best potential at our hands.
