Seed to harvest times?

I currently have two AFs growing. The White Widow and Blue Mystics are advertised at 10-12 weeks and 9-11 weeks, respectively. However, both my plants are approximately 16 weeks old and look like they should be ready to chop by the end of week.

I understand that the Seed to Harvest times advertised by breeders are just a guide. But why are my plants 4+ weeks past the high end of the range. Is this normal for a soil grow? They have been grown indoors, feed FF nuts, ph 6.5 water and temp has constant around 70 F.

If it is because I am using soil, how much faster is coco?

Thanks

I've never had either of those two strains go that long....damn, think that one might have leaned toward the photo genes.
I run all my plants, auto and photo, on 12/12 under 45w sq ft and some strains finish very early. AAMOF I currently have 2 gelato autos with cloudy trics at 54 days. Now just watching for ambers to turn...bet it doesn't go 9 weeks...

Im curious, what type of yields are you pulling from the autos running a 12/12 light cycle? I’m thinking of adding a couple photos to my tent now, and inevitably will have to cycle autos back in (as I’m primarily an auto grower).

Just curious what your average auto harvest is?

I grow in 2 ltr pots ….. avg auto harvest is 2oz per plant under 45w sq ft lighting. Recently had two autos..a fast bud GSC and a dinafem ww at 75-76g. I've done mostly 12/12 for 15 years....so long ago, found out 12/12 is great before forums spouted 24/0, 20/4 etc. which is misleading....Autos may handle 24/0 but they sure don't require it.
Lighting is important but environment is too.

Bumping this up to the top since i haven’t gotten a response.

The two AF strains I am growing have advertised seed to harvest times of 9 to 12 weeks. They are both approximately 16-17 weeks old and still have cloudy trichomes (just a few ambers).

They are grown in soil, FF nuts and are each under there own Spider Farmer 1000 quant board. Also, I have NOT done any training of any kind.

I keep hearing how fast AFs grow, but mine are taking forever. What is your average grow time for AFs? Is there anything I could do that will speed up growth because I have about 20 more of these same beans?

Thanks

The only people who say autos finish fast are the breeders. Your experience is just pretty standard as far as I can tell. The only autos I have that seem to be flowering on schedule is my Mephisto gear. Everything else has been WAY off. 17 weeks on a 70 day NL Auto was the one I just chopped. My two AK autos are definitely running way long too but I stopped counting because it just bums me out.

And there is no average grow time for autos, just like there's no average grow time for photos. It's completely strain dependent. And even pheno dependent.

As far as I know there is no way to speed them up. I've heard rumors that they finish quicker under HID, 12/12, deprived of N etc but never seen anything that proves any of that is more than rumors.
