blue dream end of week nine most trichomes are cloudy was planning on giving it a few more days then chopping. Probably 50 percent of pistils are white/pink while the rest are orange. Should I harvest based on the milkyness of trichs or how many pistils have turned. Thx

You want to harvest on the doneness of your plant. It’s a combination of both. Trichomes and pistils. But there should be no white pistils. Dark/brown pistils curled back into a swollen bud. Trichomes mostly cloudy. Maybe some amber. Hard to tell from the pic. Post a few more of just bud.

I’ve seen quite a few posts here of blue dream grows that went past 14 weeks.
ok I’ll see how much longer I can go for unfortunately I’m outdoors with some very harsh temps I’m having nights at 35-20 degrees on avg so far she’s doing fine and have been tarping her to keep frost off her.

The vast majority of pistils will have changed color and retracted near harvest. The seed bracts will all swell up thick and there will be an overall change in color, sort of a rusty tinge to the bud. You'll also notice your buds all start to sag much more near the end. Under a scope, there will be plenty of amber when the buds are ripe-don't look for 5% or 20% or whatever, just combine what you see in the scope, with the other signs of ripeness. You'll have plenty of time in the harvest window, it's almost impossible to chop too late. Keep an eye on the trichomes throughout the grow, and watch how they stand up and swell up just like the bud itself does. Don't be scared lots of amber trichomes. Also, keep smelling your buds regularly, and you'll notice a final burst of terpenes in the last week or two and the bud will smell much more potent. You want to wait for all these signs so that your buds won't get that grassy smell when they dry, and it will also mean the difference between nice dense buds when dry and little airy puffballs.

unfourtunately gonna have to chop in a week anyways because of cold temps got to 23 degrees last night and brought out some colors but if it gets any colder it would die.
