Hello all, I am looking to see if anybody has grown the KC-45 autoflowers by KC Brains, I suppose outdoors or in. But I am growing mine outdoors.
If anybody has pictures of their plants, or final buds that they would like to share, please do so here! I have passed day 50 from seed and they have only just started flowering, didn't quite auto as I expected.

Cheers

just started flowering a group KC45 (4). 4ft-4.6ft tall.009.jpg
they have been growing since Nov 18,
they are very tricky when determining sex.

I had to finally switch from 24hr to 12/12 lighting ten days ago.
they finally showed flowers.
Not sure if it was light cycle or auto gene kicking in.
So I think they prob just needed a dark cycle when growing.
they need lots of heat high 70 low 80.
they are not light hungry.
they will stretch with very little effort so keep light close. (esp with fluorescence)
Treat these as if they were regulars. they can take it .ie trimming, stress training ect.

5 gal buckets soil, perl, ver mix
400w hps, assorted fl, 250w

Mine have been growing outdoors since early December, one of the males reached about 5 feet tall before I killed it. They are obviously very hardy plants that have withstood rain, clouds, and low light conditions as they stated. However, it took a bit longer to reach sexually maturity then I expected, I might as well have planted my regular seeds. But it does seem like a heavy yielding autoflower strain.

I am hoping somebody who has fully grown out KC-45 autos will stop by and post their pics of the plants and end-result, but then again it may not be an extremely popular strain. KC-45 is ment to be outdoors, I believe there are other better indoor varieties.

on 24/0 they have normal - super auto run times
i lost alot of pics my phone died and never came back on so i only have the pics that were saved to my micro sd card
the smaller the pot the faster they finish
i have a thread i started on them somewhere on here but i got aggro'd with the way things were being handled on the site so i considered it closed and moved on with my work / breeding project on another site i feel is more properly managed
any questions feel free to ask not giving the name of the site i moved to but im sure it's not hard to figure out who i am if you do stumble across the site

I started 1 in 1 gal bucket, and 1 in 2 gal bucket. 2 weeks old now
You say yo were able to get them to autoflower sooner in a smaller vessels?

Yeah I have been doing some research and that kc 45 start to autoflower when the tap root hits the bottom of the pot.
(Just from what I have noticed, for example micro growers indoor having no trouble flowering where outdoor or large pots they act like Normal plants or take a long time to flower.)

Does any one have experience with this?

There are a few strains that flower once root bound. I have been working on a strain for a while now, the grapefruit in its lineage causes it to do this. If I repot at first signs of pistils it will grow normally, sometimes though I wait until flowering is really beginning then repot it and lengthen the photoperiod from 18/6 to 22/2 and they will reveg into "monstercropped" style mini monsters. My strain is not an auto flower per se as it can be switched from flower back to veg, it is however extremely photo sensitive and root sensitive.

Regards,

Ck.

hi guys,

I'm a total growing noob, I bought some KC-45 autoflower seeds and just chucked one in a pot of soil and bashed it on the windowsill and it seems to be doing ok... I cant tell what sex it is though, the roots have hit the bottom of the pot now and it doesn't seem to be doing anything, does this mean its male/hermaphrodite?

sorry about the blurred pics I was trying to get one of the stalks where the buds should be

does anyone have any advice?

cheers

Pretty much every thing I have read about kc 45 is that they kick ass outside, looks like u have a bit of room outdoors in your pics so u might want to do that.

Also if u look at other peeps grows their kc 45 is outgrowing theirgrow space. Might just need to get a bit bigger before it auto flowers.

U swould always try under watering to promote root growth and that might kick it off.

I'm also a noob tho and just move from soil to coco, best thing I ever did.

thanks for the advice,

I'm just feeding them miracle grow, half what it recommends on the bottle :/ do you think i should ease off the nutes? not sure how much nitrogen it has in it.

its week six from seed so was hoping to see some buds but nothing :(

I think I'll just wait it out and see what happens then maybe plan a bit more for my next grow this is my first time

I have experience with "semi-autos" but not this particular strain. I've seen flowering delayed in these unique strains by an abundance of nitrogen, but I cannot comment on this specific strain.. I will have to do some research on this strain to make any honest hypothesis.

Kc 45 is not an auto strain . It is a 12/12 strain . waited 7 weeks at 20/4. Nothing bad information out on the web.

This thread is from 2014. You shouldn't be bumping these threads. The op hasn't even been her in over a year and a half.

Well you have to bump The tread if the information is wrong. And I'm growing it as we speak so I find it very valid
No you don't. Auto information from 2014 is irrelevant as autos are nothing like they were than(this is a good thing) and this poster is not here anymore to talk on his plant. You also have 3 posts since 2008. Safe to say, you aren't really doing much growing and should read more on the current state of autos as a whole and not 1 specific strain that has outdated information.
