He did. Kind of amazing considering the amount of opsec he adhered to later that he would make such a stupid mistake.

I think perhaps he never imagined just how big the silk road would become, and the amount of resources and manpower the American government would expend to bust him.

When it comes to locking American's in cages because they dont like what citizens put in their own bodies, the feds will spare no expense to incarcerate you. Unless maybe your name is Hunter of course.

When the feds were looking to bust him, one thing they did is go in reverse chronological order to see who first posted anything about the silk road. It was obviously by him, on the shroomery.

When he made that post he did so without using tor/a vpn, so they had his real ip.

The feds used his handle on shroomery "altoid" to see someone with an identical name also posted elsewhere looking to hire an IT specialists, although not illegal, it was linked to his gmail.

The first and only time he mentioned the silk road or drugs, when not anonymous was on the shroomery.

bro saying shroomery was the reason is just a lie, he was not careful enough and he made mistakes. He was flying too high and corrupt cops got him good
a lot of things happened at the time they got a good case against him

Youre dead wrong. The first post made about the silk road was on shroomery.

The feds got his info from the shroomery, obviously dread was the poster.


By the time they agents faked that fight, they were already onto his ass, and the info on him was given, they just needed access to his computer for more evidence, they already had his ass due to rhe shroomery and his post looking for techs, which was cross referenced with his name and information from the shroomery.

No, his personal info from the shroomery, along with his gmail account of the same name got him busted.

"flying high" isnt what got him busted.
What got him busted was his initial post on the shroomery, that he posted from his own computer without a vpn/tor.

That is how they got him,. Shroomery is not the only reason but a big part of it. It was the only site he ever posted on talking about the silk road without having an encrypted connection, so it wasnt hard for the feds to bust him when they found his actual ip from the shroomery.

You grow weed?
Tell just one person about it, and tell them where it is located. When the feds come and bust your grow who the hell do you think could've told them?

the cops who busted him were corrupt, no one played by the books. The whole case is full of misinformation shroomery was just not responsible for anything. The post on shroomery is suspected was opened by Ross, but no one knows. He also got help from certain places in clear-web like bitcoin forums. There is many moving places here you are just focusing on one thing and concluding the whole thing, it would be impossible for feds to just be able to bust him from the info they could have gotten from shroomery

Thanks. I registered there about a week ago but they must be having server problems as the confirmation email is not working. Hopefully I'll get in soon.

Apparently, you don't feel Shroomery was the flagship. LOL I went to myco-tek and a couple other shroom sites and they were dead dead dead. Mycotopia has some action but the Shroomery seemed like the busiest of the shroom sites I found. That's what made me believe they were the most popular.

Getting my first spores this week for my first shroom grow. Been growing pot for 53 years

On the actual mushroom and fungi side, there was/is a lot of great cultivation info, much of it irreplaceable.
As for the rest of the site, Shroomery was/is a cesspool

If you're wondering where the world's oldest magic mushroom website has gone... a vulnerability in our codebase was recently exploited that required us to temporarily disable our website while we iron out the kinks. We're spinning up a new server environment, migrating the incredible amount of data we have amassed over our 22+ years of existence, fixing the vulnerability, updating a handful of other things while we're at it and then making sure we didn't inadvertently break anything in the process. It is difficult to offer a reliable estimate as to when we'll be back in our vintage pants, but rest assured that we will get things straightened out and that the Shroomery you know and love is definitely not lost. If you have some pressing myco-related questions, there are lots of active enthusiasts hanging out over on our Facebook Group.

Hey gang.... is anyone a member at Mycotopia.net?

I am having trouble joining. The server is not sending out confirmation emails to allow new members. I have tried a handful of different email servers in case one was blocking them but after 5 or 6 attempts with different emails, I believe their mail server is not working properly.

If someone could contact a mod or admin over there and have them confirm me in manually, I sure would appreciate it. My user name over there is also Ringo. My mail server is mail.com. If they need my email addy, just PM me.
