My new technique is called FOG HF ( floor of green, horizontal flip). To do it you grow the plant , no topping, but trim off all branches north and south. And leave east and west branch’s. This will create a Flat plant. Then it is easy to grow into a square shape. Once the plant is big enough you take the whole plant and lay it horizontal, now the whole plant becomes a sea of green, You can then add a screen mesh to anchor the buds. I am still working on the optimum container for this, it has to be specially made. It’s ™️ By me. This whole process is btw. The benifits include: no topping, fast growth, very low height in flowering. , thick canopy. And best of all, no stretching. Maybe it has to do with gravitropism. The roots become at the same height as the leaves, maybe it thinks it grew lots and no stretch?

Make it flat. Then lay it down. It’s going well. But have had a potassium problem I think. I was adding too much ph down causing potassium lock out. Since this is new, I didn’t plan out the watering ... next time il have a proper container made just for this. It will work very good.

Interesting shape on this cutting which is in a dirt pot normally. And I’m the shade.

This is my new technique. Lots of buds per inch.

How many weeks in does this look? I’m thinking week 4 or 5. I’m going to go until Christmas. Which should be around 10 weeks ? I think I must have flipped around oct 1 ish. But did have and still have issue with salt build up and low ph.

I think I have had the light too close for too long. What if I pull it back a little ? Will that encourage faster finishing?
I "Think" that backing off on intensity may make for a better finish. I'm going to try it with my auto's since they will be done the soonest.
I'll dim my light down to 60%. (SF2000)
I think it might help because I was always told to mimic mother nature if I want to grow indoors, and when the summer days are gone & the cooler temps set in... so do the clouds. Those sunny bright days are long gone by the time outdoor season is up.

I think you might be right. I think that keeping the light too close will encourage foxtailing and the continuous white hairs growing. By pulling back they might all turn brown sooner? Maybe in a week il start pulling the light up.

I agree. Whether it’s an myth or not I’m gonna give it a go. I got about 2-3 weeks before I start on it.

I have re arranged the room. I have a cheap blurple viparspectra on a small plant. And the big boi I lifted a big higher, did a couple flushes, I now see flushing very important to remove the buildup of everything I pour in. Locked out I was. But it’s bulking up now. There is some cloudy trics here and there. Maybe I’m at week 6-7. I will check the breeders dates, but I think it’s a long flowering type. Il go 11 weeks I think. What’s most interesting is the different shape of the buds on the clone in the dirt beside.

F579AF68-400B-42D4-BE2B-31B7A1B6A737.jpeg Ok so if I didn’t know better I would say they are done. But that’s impossible! I have smoked some and forgot what I was doing 10 times, and that was from buds from 2 weeks ago. I keep cutting buds off and letting them dry and sampling them. With airizer air2. And pax.Hardly never smoke.

So I cut a big branch off with 3 bug nugz to inspect the trics. Many cloudy, but many clear also. Amber on the leaves, I think I am in the early window.
What happens to my Barney’s farm tangerinedream auto is that the buds looked huge but once dried they basically disappeared into shrivel leaves. So I don’t want that to happen with this one so il be patient.

If you look close, they are not ALL brown hairs, the white hairs are just starting to go brown, but they arent brown yet. So I may be right on schedule. When those last hairs turn brown and then swell (hopefully) then it will be ready.

I have decided that is how the plant matures, each calyx is individual, and it’s tricombs take X days to mature. The plant produces many calyxs at once, they should all mature at the same time. Some plants then make another round of white hairs and another. There is also foxtailing. All these calyxs are at different stages of maturity. It will all depend on the genetics of the plant. What type of maturity pattern do you think would be the best?

F1436F72-227F-4124-A3AE-D82EE82BF8C7.jpeg Well I think my medium is depleted of nutrients at this point.

every day they still look a little bit thicker. But we are nearing the end. Trics have started to show cloudy. But still majority clear.

E9F991A1-D28E-43E8-AE9B-32205AA9C6CC.jpeg
this is the plant that’s in a different container. The buds grew differently shaped. It stayed greener for longer. The buds are more chunky.

ACCC2CB2-DAB9-466D-BACB-4768264D5E68.jpeg What’s interesting is that there is a section of the tent where the buds are less developed. Still have new white hairs. And the leaves are thin and sad. Maybe too hot? It’s by the black air venting duct. Maybe it absorbes more heat in that area.

We are reaching the end. New camera is it better? 8F4A3FC0-D781-4BC9-B46E-3E3129DDA858.jpeg
How much longer. This is bud near the middle. So it is a good representation. There are 2 big nugz on top that will be having many brown burnt trics.
so I’m going to stop watering and do a death by drying, actually first I’m going to pour boiled water over the roots. BroScience.

8E34740E-5367-4B4C-B511-C6762340DA8C.jpeg So what do you think. I know I ran out of nitrogen too soon and stunted the roots with lockout. but other than that I have sampled lots and it works. Going by the color here it’s time to consider chopping. Under the loupe I am not seeing cloudy % increase each day. Which makes me think the plant is stalled out and won’t be doing any internal processes. Waiting longer won’t do anything?

Hey what’s up guys. Right now doing a side by side one hydro one in dirt... my lights are too close, I can’t lift them high enough! Not sure. I might have to remove the screen and rearrange the plants, to have the light at an angle like it already is. But a better angle. Any ideas, I will take the shorter plant off of the stand to lower it to the ground. Switch sides..

Blueberry. I think it’s done but the heat is forcing me to wait to kill it and hang it so I am keeping it in the dark and shade all day in the basement around 18-19c. It’s been +30 out, and I’m trying to save those terps! Now at night I am shining some light on it in the shed all night. Trics are cloudy with maybe 20% clears, mostly tested surface buds. I feel like the smell was most interesting a couple weeks ago, rubbing it smelled like a vitamin C chewable citrus tablet. Now it kind of smell like regular dope. Maybe I’m just nose blind. I will be either taking a cutting of this one or reveging it. It is at around week 9 of flower. I I have it’s brother in soil I am going to chop it and reveg it also. Experimenting.

The next day they looked good. Pointing upwards.
today I put some myko fungus, gaia bloom ashes, Lange bite, kelp meal. I sprinkled that over the top of the soil and then covered with pine bark nuggets. I was afraid of the pine bark nuggets because “what’s of I bring in a pest or bugs…. We will soon find out..DF8A8BB3-4B9D-4A97-8AB7-E6A140CE1EE0.jpeg

the two auto bag seeds, I will just put outside soon they don’t even have a smell! On stem rub.

They are doing well. The white rhino is so low and bushy. I want these plants to stretch but it’s been so cold lately they are staying low. The pine bark chips were safe. No bugs. I flipped to 12/12 on the 10th. It’s been 10 days I see pistles on the velvet bud. And the alternating node growth. Still no pistles on white rhino or the autos. The autos have taken off. Leaves as big as my hand. The other fems have small leaves. Probably from defoliating. I will do another defol soon because the leaves are rubbing leaving water between them.
