@Spiderfarmerled, this forum contest is already looking like a spam mess.

What do we have to make spam bots to created tons of threads and make pointless comments on there to have a chance in winning?

You can already see it starting..

Im still going to log my journals there but I dont want to get in a spamming contests and blast the whole forum with nonsense just to win a contest..

I mean fek, if I got points every time I virtual signaled I was smoking a bowl, Id have a commanding lead :)

Should be substance in the forum and not just a spam fest to see who can rake in the points quicker.

Edit: I love the point system idea, I hope you keep this after the contest is over and let me build up my points at my own pace "Im a slow ass old man".

It's fairly easy to mitigate spamming if likes are giving more weight then comments/posts or invites as that way people posting solid content will come out ahead despite peoples attempts to spam. I fully agree, I wouldn't waste my time spamming to win a contest but if it's sharing a tip like the Phlizon contest or engaging in a forum (which I do anyway to continue learning) it's a different story. If I can win a prize for doing what I'd already be doing, why not.
