That's a similar experience to what I had. No problems germinating or verging. The GG4 and wwautos both got me good and baked. Just not the terpene rich taste and smell I'm used to in kind bud. And too many phenos in each strain. Maybe F2,MAYBE...in both my orders, no breeder packs, just a tweak baggie of beans with a coded lot #
Yep, I found its best to attend a cannabis cup's (as much as I hate Hightimes) and buy clones from reputable breeders if possible. Good thing about Michigan being a medical state and now legal state was getting GG4 josie wales cut and GSC forum cut was easy, I felt bad for people that couldn't get their hands on them and others.
It's true, their gg4 auto produces pretty good ( I got 249g from 3 plants under 200w with troubles ) and it gets you a decent buzz. But it ain't the flame. And the last one was fkn purple and smells like ww. Had a total different structure and density. It's a grab bag with them. If you need DECENT weed in the US fast with cash and you for some reason can't use NASC, then whatever. But I don't see any award winning genetics coming from ilgm. If you like mystery genes they got you. I have outgrown them just like you all said I would. I don't feel shitted cause my plants grew. But I have learned that my time is worth better genetics.
I can only dream of a cannabis cup, lol. I feel bad for me too. Maybe one day.
Take trip to a medical or legal state
Sounds nice. Virginia is GOING to have legal recreational dispensaries. But I already have access to Cali disp. weed and wax and such. I'm interested in growing. With the genetics available now and led lights, it'd be cheaper to buy a new light and some quality seeds than drive to somewhere like Colorado or California. Humboldt CSI or Mephisto or whoever. But yeah it would be great to buy clones ready. I like beans though. Something about the sprout to bowl process uniquely satisfying.Take trip to a medical or legal state

Trainwreck is from DC seeds. Durban Poison and northern lights is from ILGM. Durban Poison is throwing very large colas, but no red hairs, pistols are still clear. They started showing flowers second week in July. So far, they have almost no smell. The trainwreck started flowering first week of August. Looks like October 1st for them. They already have a good smell. They're a lot smaller, but I'm in it for quality. I'm so disappointed in ILGM!
My ilgm plants acted similarly. They grew fast(ww and gg4), but they took till a month of cure for the smell to be decent. Just. And they took a month into flower to show trichs. My bagseed kush cross showed crystals soon as she started popping pistils and the smell was like kerosene and fruit before the damn stretch stopped. Agreed. I'm disappointed also. I know my skills aren't world class but I know better weed when I see/smell it. Life's too short to grow mediocre,inconsistent genetics.
They totally gave me something other than what it's supposed to be. Most of my Durban Poison are India dominant, which is supposed to be a landrace pure sativa. A few of them turned out looking like sativa. My northern lights is supposed to be an indica dominant and doesn't reach over 28 inches tall. They look like sativa and over 6 feet tall. A couple look like indica. It's like they sent me the same thing in both orders. They're trying to say I got them mixed up, well I clipped the tops of some of my Durban Poison, none of northern lights, because I thought they won't grow tall. Well, I got monsters, all monsters. Compared to my DC seeds, they're nothing but a mixed seed batch. DC seeds all look the same. They slightly very, but basically the same. I'm hoping I don't end up with junk. A big waste of my time and money. I read their reviews, which people sent pictures. They look different than mine. They were also in mid grow. Amazing how they have not one bad review on their own site. I didn't leave mine yet. I think they will delete it. They already know I'm pissed. I told them, it's a landrace strain, how can you mess that up.
Dude that's some tall plants. Hard to believe any could be a true N.L. . Like I said before, 1 of my gg4 looks and smells just like the ww I grew last fall. I know I didn't mix them. I havent bothered reviewing either cause I'm sure they'd delete it. Besides, most people complain about germination. No problems there. My gripe is the shitty consistency and ,mystery genetics. Apparently it's too much to ask to get what you order. Humboldt CSI has promised me that I'll get the strain and terp profile I order. So it's "Christmas '79 bud" and "Skunk #1" next order. That D.C. trainwreck sure looks tempting as well. But to ,"I Love Goddam Money", no Mas. Yes some of their plants were (ok) but I am ready to move on.
I recommend the trainwreck. Even it's not finished, I'm loving it. Also, I got some freebies that looks good. Ancient skunk and purple Pakistan Afghan. Have to look back to be exact.
Oh, I'd be curious to know if you get the same lavender taste and smell from your ILGM trainwreck. Me and a buddy have grown out a pack between us and every time it has this lovely herbal thing going...
Trainwreck is from DC seed exchange, Humboldt. The smell has a little bite, can't describe but makes me smile. It's still early though.
