Sterile environement safe nutrients

Im looking for a list of nutrients (advanced nutrients specifically but will take recommendations) products that are worth using in a sterile environment, that means no organic matter, no bacteria.

Or looking for your advanced nutrients "recipe" for growing in an under current DWC system. I like AN, i think their products work and id like to stick with the PH perfect design so i dont have to worry about phing my water.

I'm sorry to say there's no such thing as a pH perfect formula. You can buffer your solution with a potassium silicate product to cause ion exchange. There's also resin beads people label as "pH perfect".

The only thing you need in a sterile system is a oxidizer to break down organic matter and kill off any fungal growth.

Calcium hypochlorite (Pool Shock) is the cheapest alternative and is very shelf stable compared to Clorox or H202. I personally use Pool Shock to sterilize my solution every third day at 1ppm strength. It gives me about 0.5ppm residual (no reading with chlorine strips).

Jack's 3-2-1 is a good choice of nutrient line and will work with any setup.

Yeah i understand the only thing you need is an oxidizer however i would prefer to not waste money on those ferts if im just going to kill it all with an oxydizer.

I realize that there is no such thing as PH "Perfect" but advanced nutrients does a real good job getting close enough :)

Ill for sure take a look at jacks, ive heard a few people recommend it. Any pictures of plants grown with jacks and an rdwc?

I've use canna coco nutes and aqua nutes for one cycle of dwc (second going now). I only use cal/mag and the base nutes. Keeps my ph stable enough so I just check EC and top up accordingly.

I don't know what ferts you're referring to? You cant kill inorganic compounds, they are as dead as can be. I don't consider potassium silicate to be part of the nutrient line. You add negliable amount of K with 50ppm.

I was asking which advanced nutrients lines are worth using in a sterile environment. Obviously i am talking about advanced nutrients. They have many many nutrients and many many of them have organic compounds in them. I am asking which ones do not contain organic compounds which could thus be used in a sterile environment.

In that case I guess none of them? They all contain organic amino acids with added methylparaben which act as a anti fungal agent.

Aminos don't really cause any problem because of their low concentration in the solution. If you add an oxidizer on top of that the solution will stay stable and won't spoil.

If you have to use AN you could use "Sensi Grow" or their "Connoisseur" line.

Is there a list of additives such as b-52 or big bud etc etc etc that do or do not contain organics?

Ive decided to give jacks a go. I bought the jacks part a and i bought some calium nitrate and i bought some magnesium sulfate for the 321, i intend on using some more p and k in flower, yet to be decided. i already have a big bag of gh koolbloom.

1/4 strength with all nutes plus calmag. Good for 14 days Maybe longer in 1 gallon res 3 part voodoo sensie calmag Tap water no ph adjusting it will work it’s way from 5.5-6.8 1-14 days getting all the right nutes in that time. Only really need the 3 part nutes. Voodoo keeps everything clean.

I'm just finishing up my first run with Jacks 321 and have been pretty satisfied so far and plants are in great health.

I keep it at the 321 ratio with an EC of 1.8 but some of the guys on ICmag recommend dropping the epsom and doing 3 parts A to 2.5 cal nit for a 3:1
Cal-Mag ratio that is similar to Canna.

I was considering using Jacks Finish 7-15-30 for the last couple weeks of flower but no one will ship it to hawaii for a normal price.

i was checking that out too. but it has no Ca in it. if you added cal nit, then your N value isn't so special anymore. is there another source of Ca that you know of? calcium sulfate (if there is such a thing,)would give the Ca and Sulfur.

i just tried Jack's Tap. check out my thread in the Nutes section.

Don’t know I use tap water with AN phs it self 1/4 strength amazing results day 1 day 3 day 10 DWC. Don’t mess with the ph it works it’s way through all ph ranges. If y to u decide to use AN. So easy I stopped adjusting ph lol

Yeah, I noticed that as well...the label says add Calnit if you dont have enough CA, which doesnt make sense because it already has a higher N value than part A.
