Sterilized Soil, Helpful Bacteria, Trace Minerals

Does anyone have any recommendations for sterilized soil used in indoor cultivation? I want to know the highest quality sterilized soil you can think of, and any recommendations on altering the PH of the sterilized soil. I'm also interested in introducing non-synthetically derived helpful bacteria to aid in nutrient absorption and incorporating minerals into the soil without over-fertilizing.

Not as a conclusive answer as your looking for, make sure to sterilize your pots (dishwasher) then Alcohol wipe

I have done this one
"Place a meat (or candy) thermometer into the center and bake at 180-200 F. (82-93 C.) for at least 30 minutes, or when soil temp reaches 180 F."
I usually baked for like an hr. No negative effects.

I am reading that STEAM cleaning the soil is the best sterile method.

why sterilize and then re-innoculate?
Organic soils aren't sterile.
If your goal is to introduce microbes you want an organic soil far from being inert or sterile

I understand what you mean, and outdoor I would love to keep everything as natural as possible. However I don't want to take any chances with indoor pests. Sometimes there are eggs in the soil that are just waiting to hatch, however sterilization through heat kills the eggs.

I appreciate your response. I may steam the soil but really prefer to purchase soil that has already been sterilized. The reason being lack of space and privacy were I to sterilize it myself.

ok when they say steamed u are not getting it .......the only way to do it i know of is a Autoclave .......same thing u would use to reclaim used active carbon
but those things are hospital lvl equipment or industrial

coco fiber/rock wool is the best sterilized media

sterilized soil actual dirt none on the market everything will have some trace of something from the area it was originally mixed in .......i know of soils with no NPK rating (as i learned might be wrong) but even that has something cultivated to help improve the use

there could be one possible way but it would take a lot of work and possible strip of a lot of the npk in the soil

in theory u could ISO it ........use 99% pure and basically wash the dirt then u are going to need to place it on a screen in a clean room allowing it to completely evaporate
it might be better to allow the iso to evaporate in a tub or barrel with the soil so the chemicals that were contained in it would not be stripped out

but all living things would be completely dead ......the soil would have no trace of living micros or fungi or eggs of insects

UV would work too but u would need to have the dirt powdered so everything gets hit killed by the uv light ....any place that did not get hit long enough would stand of chance of something living and have the dead bodies of the others for food

radiation will not work the soil would absorb some and that would transfer to the plant
