Storing pollen for future use

I have two autoflowering males from my first attempt at making seeds that I want to collect and store pollen from. They are both still growing and have been producing pollen for a few weeks now. If I shake the plant and catch the pollen on a sheet of paper and put it in a sealed glass jar is it dry and ready to have flour added to it and be put away or is there a drying process I still need to go thru first?

You can let it sit out for a day in low humidity. I wouldn't put it in a jar. The smallest container you have. Less volume = less potential moisture.

I use small plastic tube with airtight lids. I have some in the freezer. Pollen doesn't last like seeds do so I save pollen when I have it but I'm not expecting it to last long term. In fact I have pollen right now that probably isn't viable anymore but I'll give it a shot. If it isn't good I'm not going to lose any sleep. I've already made the crosses I had planned. I just saved the pollen because I couldn't throw it away.

I've learnt not to deal with 'powder' pollen but throw the entire bush, trimmed down to a plastic bag then to the freezer...
need some in months to come ...?
simply snap off a bud, thaw 10 mins max and paint or rub to desired flower

good luck

Im pheno hunting for the first time, 180 F1 seeds left to go through so im really interested in this, instead of the vial/flour method...doesn't the moisture shorten the lifespan? Do i cut what need off then toss it back in freezer before rest thaws? So many questions but dude i would really prefer this method, can you expand on it a bit? Any threads you made i can read on it?
I need a male to last in the freezer at least this whole summer or longer, thoughts on that?

In that case I'd not do as above , but lean the male plant on a mirror and 2x times day, go scrape the pollen off the mirror to the med bottle then freeze, then apply and return as needed, how long it lasts is up to you and your storage conditions

good luck
