I wanted to put this method out there. Don’t see many people cloning this way and it’s soooo easy. 100% success rate. Plants can be ready for TRANSPLANT in 14ish days from Cut.

step1.
moisten promix hp. With or without myco, doesn’t seem to matter. Looking for that barely wet. No drops come out when squeezed in fist but has moisture holding together form.

step 2.
use 4tbsp per gallon “azos” by xtreme gardening to make a pre soak for any brand root plug. Root riot or similar plug. Soak and squeeze plugs in solution for 15 minutes.

Step 3: full cups with promix with NO compacting dirt. Just lightly fill snd let gravity pull down. No “patting down” dirt.

Step 4: make a hole the size of plugs. By fingering, again try not to compact promix. Keep it light.
*note* it’s vital here to get the promix level with root plug. Flat surface on toplevel of cups.

step 5: lightly pour remaining azos liquid on prepped cups. Just so fully saturated. Alittle water should go into trays at this point. If a small amount don’t sweat it. But if 10x20 trays starts to fill. Just dump water before going to next step.

Step 6. Take cuts from healthy moms. 45degree cut on stem and light prune if needed. Message fresh aloe leaf. Cut a small slit and stick prepped clones into aloe!!! What I know it’s crazy. But stay with me. This isn’t about benefits of aloe, but trust me it works.

Step 7. Insert clones into prepped cups. Insert until the stem doesn’t slide easily. Cover tray with vented dome and spray DOME ONLY everyday. Only once a day until roots pop out. Temp 75-85 degrees. Humidity in the dome should be near 95%.

never spray the plants!!!
open dome Only one time per day!!!
Here’s these same clones 9 days from cutting.

Step 8.
When a single root shows start to vent dome 25% each day for 3 days. Until vents are 100% open. Usually by 2 weeks.
Then stop spraying the dome plastic and spend one day acclimating clones to grow environment by slowing taking off dome. Cockeyed for 1 hour. Then remove completely.
Ready for transplant into containers!
No loss of leaves. No stress on plants. Ready for flowering sooner. Happy Friday my friends!!

Thanks
Great step by step procedure.
Will try this method in the future.
The only thing I forgot after re reading everything is during the acclimation period I like to top with fresh earth worm castings to get some needed nitrogen to those roots. The azos will pull N out of the air but only for so long.
This will keep em green and happy all the way to transplant.

You can skip the $30 bag of Azos and root plugs and just use the aloe and straight promix
Although you are correct the plugs do increase % success. Snd the azos does decrease time to rooting.

but cannabis loves to root it’s not hard no matter what practice once you get the environment correct

... Don’t see many people cloning this way ...
Been cloning in straight moistened Pro-Mix HP for years and have not had to use the rooting plugs, Axos and aloe. Nor has there been the need to remove the dome to mist daily. But I am glad this works for you.
... Does the PH of the soaking solution matter? ...
Yeah ... take a few extra seconds to pH the water to 6.0 - 6.1 when the Pro Mix is moistened.
