Sugar Punch by Sannie - the results are in

Anyone who reads what I post already knows the results, but hopefully this will provide some more detail and insight.

One:

Cut this girl at 8 weeks. I tended to let most of my girls a little longer than was probably necessary, but that's ok. This one I did not.

Appearance/yield - you be the judge. Quite nice I'd say. Sativa dominant buds here without a doubt. I think this one had a lot of potential to yield. I can't give a great assessment of that as they didn't all receive identical amounts of light. I had plants packed in. It's obvious this strain has heavy yielders though.

Smell - They all smelled great. This one smells of fruity dankness. There's definitely subtle diesel undertones from the mom/pop (feminized cross).

Potency - very good. Stronger than most weed you can get on Vancouver Island.

High - Sativa dominant, but this one had the most indica influences I would say. Not quite as motivating but a really nice and enjoyable high that is relaxing. I think for a rookie it would be pretty anxious, but for someone with tolerance it's very nice at the end of the night if you don't want to crash hard yet.

Two:

Sorry about the close ups, simply used a 15x loupe with my camera phone. Not ideal, but it gives you a better idea. This one came down a week later.

Appearance - Small tight buds. Long internode spacing means pretty OG like structure. Of course I want to run it again to see how I can improve on it. All of these are covered in frost, some more than others. This one was on the frostier side.

Smell - This is definitely more diesel leaning in smell, I think appearance too. A really nice dank fruity smell. Anyone familiar with plants crossed with The One should instantly recognize it. Very very nice.

Potency - Outstanding. Very potent. This strain is not highly recommended for low tolerance smokers as I believe extreme anxiety could be induced, as well as general paranoia. It sounds like maybe I'm trying to pimp this, but it's the truth. You've been warned.

High - More sativa leaning, but still some subtle indica influence. None of these really cause you to crash and burn. But the other 4 are more classically motivating, although this one is pretty good. Nice end of the day smoke, very nice. All of these will make you enjoy music and life more.

Three:

The buds you see are all that remain. This one was incredible. Probably the most raw potency of all of them. Potentially a huge yielder (all the branches were bending and breaking from the weight of the buds). I really wish I gave it a better spot in my garden last run. Unfortunately I lost the clone to this when I got sick and ended up in the hospital. In fact I lost 4 out of 10 the same way when they were babies :( . I had been having some stomach issues, but I have since sorted them out. Acid reflux related. Still, it sucks. I'm hoping I mislabeled some of them. This one was cut a half a week after two.

My friend smoked this one. He's been growing on the island, which is pretty well known for having outstanding cuts floating around and runs a hydroshop. He said it's easily some of the strongest weed he's ever smoked. I gifted him a joint and he and his employee smoked it before biking home one day. He said he had to stop and walk because anytime car lights came within 600m of him he started to freak out and become paranoid he was about to get smashed. He said once he got home he relaxed and really enjoyed it. It was mind blowing for him. It's mind blowing for me too.

Appearance: Beautiful. These aren't really even the best examples, but the most trichrome coverage I think of all. The density on the buds isn't anymore than some others, but the leafs were more heavily encrusted. Just gorgeous.

Smell: Grape. Green grapes. Just incredible. Slight diesel undertones on cure, but pure grape on cut.

Potency: Extreme.

High: Fantastic trippy, happy, motivating. Can induce paranoia and anxiety in some. I never have issues with those and in fact enjoy them when they occur because I know it's just the drugs and the drugs are obviously working really well.

Four:

You can see the resemblance to two. This one is more haze leaning, but still diesel dominant. It's almost as good as three. I love it a lot and I have a cut of it. Three - six are all highly motivating. One and two only somewhat. Taken down a week after three. Probably should have taken it down sooner.

Appearance: Frost covered with hints of purple. Fairly dense small nuggets. This plant didn't receive a tonne of light relative some and I think could be a heavy yielder.

Smell: That classic fruity diesel smell. Smells great.

Potency: Excellent. Just a notch below Three. Two was the same.

High: Clear and motivating. Maybe a slight bit of body but it's not so noticeable as you will be too busy getting stuff done. Classic sativa.

Five:

This one was not as potent. You can tell from the crystal coverage. But it was the heaviest yielding plant in my garden and I loved the effect. Taken down a couple days after four.

Appearance: Despite not being quite up to the others, still outstanding. Very sativa looking buds with a very sativa effect. Kept wanting to push pistils forever and piling on weight, had to say stop at some point.

Smell: Very very hazy. Best way to describe it. Incense with hints of fruit and that diesel is still there. It doesn't seem to want to leave. But mostly haze.

Potency: Very good. Not as outstanding as some of the others in terms of raw power, but the effect is so nice and you notice the first hit. It clears your mind.

High: Very very very motivating. I smoked this and literally cleaned my house top to bottom as it just started bugging me. Mentally stimulating - a real classic clear headed haze. Very enjoyable. Makes everything better. Relaxing. I don't think I'd be so concerned with someone getting paranoid and anxious from this.

Six:

This girl is right there with three in terms of potency. This plant is outstanding. Very haze dominant. Super foxtailing. Just gorgeous buds if you're a sativa lover. I took this girl a week and a half later than five. It also wanted to keep pushing, but I think it needed the extra week and a bit. I think I harvested this one at a great time.

Appearance - obviously outstanding IMO. Incredibly dense trichrome formation on the buds. The leafs weren't bad either although not quite as nice as three in that regard. The buds might even be more frosted though.

Smell - Pure haze. The diesel really doesn't come through here. Fruit undertones.

Potency - Outstanding. Anxiety I don't think will be as much an issue with this one and it doesn't have the indica fuzziness that some of the other phenotypes have despite this smokes ability to cut through anything you might be currently experiencing (for real).

High - Pure haze. Sounds and visual stimulation. Incredibly motivating. Clear headed, creative. The creative part can go for all of them, but this one especially.

Verdict? I had a few of the plants throw nanners late, but I don't care about that. No big deal. The seed you see in that one picture is a result of a different plant going full herm (my own fault). I have some interesting seed stock to play with of my own creation to be honest. I have saved them all and I might grow them again before I grow anything else out from seed.

So if that doesn't say it all, I don't know what does. This strain is outstanding and I have a difficult time believing a better sativa dominant hybrid exists.

You know, I actually mixed up the pictures for two and four. Editing this post is annoying due to the size of my pictures however... just FYI. Sorry if you're on dialup.

Also worth noting is this strain has caused me to completely quit drinking, which is good for me as it's something I should do anyway. I like to drink just a bit too much.

+ rep extremely thorough review. Maybe one day i'll get my hooks on that strain but its sold out alot. Not sure if it was you or someone else Og. Its about extrema being hermie prone. I have 4 in veg atm and prolly will get the flip around 3 weeks from now.

I ran 6 extremas, none of them had big herm issues. But I have heard that some phenotypes are prone. That being said, I did some stuff to stress out the plants with light and in general could have treated them better last run but I did not. This time will be better. People love the Extrema. I will do a report on those as well sometime in the near future. Probably won't do a Black Widow, too many phenotypes lol. But I will say the BW had some killer plants in the mix. Some were quite heavy handed. And super vigor.

His Silverfields is pretty darn close to Sugar Punch. Check that out. It's got Jack in the mix on the One side (Killingfields instead of just the One).

Who knows, it might even be better ? And there will be some incredible males to be found in them!

Thanks for the tips on their other lines and your experience with extrema. I never had herijuana on its own before ( kind of ashamed because 1/2 of it came from Petrolia which is about an hour south of me lol). I'll be cutting down a ch9 herijuana jack 33 on Thursday. With the genetics of it you would think it would be floral but all I can distinguish is hash and there is some hash plant in it. If you had herijuana alone is it hashy in smell and taste. In appearance the ch9 herijuana jack 33 has the structure of pictures I have seen of herijuana but just thrown off by the smell which was hard to determine in first place because the agent oranges masks every plant I have in flower even the holy grail kush.

I've grown Herijuana and it is not at all floral. Frankly it smelled bad most of flower. At one point it smelled like Einstein Oil (horrible). But it cured into a coffee flavor, which is common from Sannie/Mota's line. I don't know how Woodhorse Seeds line compares. If you like coffee you would like this. Smoked fine. I'm not a huge coffee fan, but it's not a bad smell.

Sugar Punch amazing. It's deceivingly strong. One of the best overall Sannie strains alongside of Kolossus.

Never did straight Herijuana from Sannie but I've grown his Madshack (heri x white widow x shack). It's strong and smells of cat piss.

I don't think there's anything deceptive about the strength of some of my cuts. :weed: Perhaps, the last one is a bit deceptive.

EXCELLENT reporting! very clear descriptions of the buzzes and almost makes me want to try the strain myself except for the constant undertone of diesel which i absolutely do not like at all tastewise in pure form even if onyx at least has an exceptional euphoric and motivational touchy feely high with some light trippiness. it just astes like a crusty oil slick at a truck stop to me. then again, i might like some diesel hybrids as i recently found out one of my favorite tasting strains, sour cream, has some sour d in it. it tastes very organic and delicious to me where onyx and whatever other diesel i scored tasted like crimes against mother nature and just not enjoyable regardless to me. i'll be testing sannies' jack f7 myself by spring anyways. that sounds more my speed. from everything i've read so far, every sannies strain is above average as they pick only the best parents and breed with love. i can't wait to try jack f7. i'm hoping it wows me even more than jack's cleaner 2 did once i realized it was doing visuals for real. the report makes me at least want to power through the taste to get to the fun sounding buzzes between phenos you listed. i would have pegged the strain as an indica dominant by it's name, but it sounds like the "indy dom" pheno is more of a mid with the rest leaning towards higher highs. hope to see your jack report soon, and comparisons to any other get high strains a pot snob like me might want to try. can't rep ya again, but i am giving you the + in my head.

Excellent report OGEvilgenious, thanks.

Last year I popped one SP bean, got a pheno that had a very strong caramel candy dominant odor after curing. I took clones and when vegged for three weeks after rooting, then up-potted to a 3 gallon coco/hempy bucket, I got 4 ounces from each clone...better than an ounce per gallon of root mass, I'll take that:-P

She was easy to grow, easy to clone, awe-inspiring stench during flower, marvellously powerful stone, no herms at all...but the mother went into auto-flower after 6 months and I lost her. Got an amazing last harvest though...

I have another SP mother going, with two clones in the tent and another going in Friday, cannot freaking WAIT to see how she turns out:weed:

It doesn't really taste like diesel, just has notes of it. It smells incredible IMO. YMMV.

Think of the diesel like a spice in a food... sometimes they don't taste the best on their own, but together it's heaven.

Yeah, this report is excellent. Nice work. It sounds like you got some great plants from this pack.
I love SSH. The one x SSH sounds about like the perfect cross to me. Thanks for putting this up.

Man I am glad I didnt get the Mad Shack that smelled like cat piss. Mine actually smells like fruit, I open the jar and think C99.
It is a great buzz as well. It doesnt last long at all, but it is very potent and good feeling and when it fades it leaves no lag or tiredness. I just take a couple of hits and kick in the buzz again.
