Planning on doing my first auto run. Was looking for some suggestions on what people’s favorite breeder/strains have been so far and how consistent they have been for you with size, quality, and yield. Bud porn shots are always welcome. Thanks in advance

I've had a love of autos for 15 years. Grown a bunch of breeders and strains. I prefer the shorter stockier autos...actually the reason autos were developed...so they finished fast and easy to hide. After autos caught on and became popular, many breeders genetics began to develop taller strains.
My last few grows have been a combination of Fast Buds, Dinafem, & Mephisto. Dinafems Auto White Widow XXL has been a fav for its shorter, stockier, fat buds and has been consistent in several runs. A current run of Rocbudinc has shown promise though strains I've grown have been a bit larger. FB and Mephisto also have shorter but some strains are taller...just read reviews to find those that fit your size requirement.

Yeah fastbuds got a few crackers. Their blue dream auto is fuckin tremendous. Like a big fuzzy punch in the face with sparkles all over.
In terms of who is the best quality it seems to be mephisto leading the way but I've only done one of theirs and I fucked it lol.

My own favourite is dutch passion. Everything on their menu gets fuckin enormous if you treat em right.
That's their auto ultimate. Not the strongest but a cracking day timer. Sometimes turns out quite lemony if you get lucky. DP-Auto-ultimate1.jpeg.jpg
Other faves from dp are night queen. That stuffs lethal. Reaaalll heavy stone.
Passion fruit is lovely too. Really orangey, uplifting high.

Commercial autos i have grown:

Dinafem: white widow XXL auto - one of the worst plants i have grown. Fluffy buds that stayed small like the whole plant and not much frosting. Weak high maybe somewhat similar to white widow tuned down, but not properly like white widow high, not as intense.

Fastbuds:
Crystal meth auto: grew in spear like style and did not produce very much, but had decent amount of trichomes. Smoke was the type of sativa that doesent get to head properly.
LSD auto: grew 2 of these, both hermied early flowering, so i cut them down.

Dutch passion: black berry kush auto: Decent yielder and ok strength smoke, not the strongest, but not too bad. Lazy like an indica, but was not like the indica from the heaviest side.

sensible seeds: Wedding cake auto - decent yielder and quality. There were a few different phenos, more bushy with more leaf and more spear like with higher bud to leaf ratio that ended up yielding almost the same.

Mephisto: chemdogging: best frosting, best naturally bushy shape and best terpene profile of these. Yielded good, but made more leafy buds than the spear pheno of wedding cake, but the leafs were nicely frosted, so it did not mean weaker weed.

Joint doctor: lowryder #1 - stays small and the first commercial auto, so its not really a match to current strains anymore. People often say it has a shitty high, but i got a pheno that had one of my favourite highs.

I have also grown a bunch of low ryder x photo crosses from back in the days before there were many commercial autoflowers besides lowryder. Honestly it seems that not many commercial autos are much better than some randomly thrown out lowryder pollen to photo and then doing minimum to get it to autoflower again.

Mephisto sems clearly one of the best auto breeders based on my experience and other growers experiences. I recommend not believing what the breeders advertise and doing your own research, flowering times are complete bullshit, so are the yields and often THC levels also. You get a good idea of yields if you look at growdiaries.com . But remember when looking at grow diaries that often beginners grow autoflowers and autoflowers dont allow much mistakes without yield reductions.

That’s mainly why I asked, after reading some of the descriptions , they all seemed to be too good to be true. Thanks for the info man.

Yea, except dinafem seems to truthfully say that their strains have low THC and their product pics most autoflowers dont look very good. I dont really see why people say that they are good, when you can see even from their own descriptions that THC is low and weed is fluffy in most pics..

I recommend staying on breeders that are only autoflower breeders, altho i dont say that some others could not be good as well, but its more risky and more likely more pheno variation etc because they often seem to do only the bare minimum(if even that) with auto breeding. Many companies mostly selling photos seem to treat autos as some crap to sell to newbies and dont even seem to take it seriously like dedicated auto breeders like memphisto for example does.

My very 1st auto was from Dinafem. It was an Amnesia. Freebie from Attitude bank. I didn't ecoect much cause people always shit on autos, but decided to try it anyways since it sounded like a great strain. I put it in 1 gal of FFOF(the only grow i ever used soil) next to 2 photos. I fed maybe 1 to 2 times a week and it sat u der 1 200 watt CFL bulb cause the 2 photos used my Area 51 led. I didn't do shit to that Amnesia. Small pot. Not alot of feed. Not alot, or even good lighting. Still got 1 to 1-1/2 oz of heady weed. That's what got me to trade most of my fems and go all in to autos. It was a tough call between Mephisto and Dinafem but since Mephisto was a pure auto breeder and Dinafem did autos and photos, with the bad infor on autos i felt it was better to start with Mephisto. I can tell you this, i don't know how that guy is as a grower but even though i only grew 1 Dinafem i would easily grow them seriously and cincider them the only top dawg with Mephisto right now.

I've wanted to get that critical 2.0 for some time and I've never had a cheese(i have Mephisto Northern Cheese Haze to try soon) and always considered between Dinafem and Barney's Cheese.

She troved. golf size round buds,I had humidity problems and got bud rot,so I had to cut then too early, but It still made you high..I can only wonder how good it would be if they made it to proper harvest.. I hear that meph. had some problems (germination) lately..

People are always going to run into issues. I haven't seen any regular Mephisto growers on AFN have problems. I hope to get my current 2 plants down in the next 2 to 3 weeks and want to do 1 Northern Cheese Haze. Squeeze it in before winter.

White widow xxl auto. But im talking about their product pictures and descriptions with autoflower strains. Look at their website, their autos many list thc of under 15%. If you look at the pictures, most product pictures doesent look that good.

I also have 2 of their critical jack autos, but based on product pictures and listed thc %, i dont think they look worth spending time to grow instead something else.

Im sure some have grown great dinafem autos and i dont have more experience than one plant. Im basing my view of dinafems own descriptions and one plant

@CannaOnerStar Dude how old are u ??
I dont ever never ever watch thc level when I choose a strain..That shit is for morons..
do you buy your fine cognac by % of alcohol??

Dude dont be so square minded.. Gooogle a little , most selling strains in despensaries arent with highest thc %..

Dinafem is good and legit breeder..Are there beter companies? Hell yeah!

I obviously can’t speak for him but some of my runs are specifically for extracts, so resin production and thc levels matter. Not picking on you by any means but sounds like your being a little square minded by not being open to the idea that some folks grow for strength, especially those with chronic pain issues

I don't think that guy knows much about autos. here'as my recent Dinafem WW XXL. Big, solid buds, smells wonderful, a good balanced high. I'd grow it again. And I grow a lot of autos, and have for years. my list of keepers is very short. Other keepers are Sweet Seeds Green Poison and Sweet Trainwreck, excellent bud from both! Fastbuds Blue Dream, Dutch Passion's Auto ultimate and Glueberry OG, Most anything form Mephisto ( if you can find them in stock.. )

And one from Original Sensible Seeds, auto Blueberry Ghost O.G. A potent little hammer of a strain! Tasty too!

Hey Pops XD, it's great to hear you say FB Blue Dream is good. I bought them last year but hadn't gotten around to them. Have you by any chance done FB Tangiematic or the Zkittles?

Zkittles is on my list to try. I've grown their Mexican Airline twice, and I'm not much on Sativas lol! I know a grower who grew the Zkittles and he said it was great bud very tasty.

I also grew Linda Seed's Bluerry auto, just because the seeds were cheap so thought I'd give them a try. Excellent bud! And a good harvest too! I'll be growing another soon!
