Switching from HPS to LED mid-flower?

Is this a bad idea? I was concerned about losing density on the flower, but hoping to significantly increase trichome production. Anyone done this? Currently on the beginning of 4th week.

Also, I have a very even canopy on the other tent that I wanted to switch the hps to swap lights. Would I be sacrificing yield by putting an hps instead of two leds which have a very even light distribution. On my other SCROG (not flipped yet), the tops right under the hps bulb grew higher than the rest, which definitely hurt the yield as the canopy is uneven. If I have a perfect level now should I forget moving the lights around? Tricky but hope for good experienced SCROG growers advice.

Thanks for the advice ahead of time. :)

If it isn't broke don't mess with it.

If you're bored. Welcome to the club. Don't find things to do. Let her grow.

As for yield. What are expecting? Half pound? 1/4 pound? What happens if you pull a 1/4# off these plants?
I actually didn't get a reply in time and I did the switch but I am very happy with it. I schwazzed today for the first time (I don't normally believe in such abuse to the girls but I know that it means a sea of buds) and have been documenting the whole thing. I can bet cal/mag deficient in 3 days on the big girl haha. The water is really tricky here. I will post a grow journal once all is done. I expect 500 on big girl and 640 from the SOG SCROG. Gonna last me until fall when I should be reupped if all is well.

Safe to say it was wise to swap.
Guessing that's a 600 hps in a cooltube changed over to 2x 240w QBs.

Superior coverage and light output.

Not into the leaf stripping but will be keen to see your journal when finished
Hi Corey, thanks yea it's my first time doing schwazzing so I know it is a bit of a risk but I want to see if it works. Within 3 days you won't be able to see the pots anymore because the leaf coverage will return. This worked the same except I didn't pre-flower trim nearly as much as this. If I messed up a pretty expensive mistake but I am confident they will be looking pretty nice in 4 weeks. Fed two scoops of EWC and sprayed with neem oil today. Will be feeding them water until week 5 when I'll brew a microbe tea.

jesus
ya have some bugs on them stickys havnt ya .hahahahaha
Fungus gnats that have somehow survived since first being introduced by some clones last spring. I have almost eliminated them entirely. I moved the lights and now getting 77 and 76 during lights on. Planning to make capsules out of this with an ethanol extraction. So two capsules a day. Gonna try @jonnynobody 's technique mixed with mine. I'm back down to 80kg and my healthy weight is 95-110kg when eating and training. Been out of blueberry and the other strains don't help my nausea. This spring gonna get fit again and eat more.

I think I ruined a perfectly good grow. I hope not. I am anxious about it now :(
Today everything already recovering and leaves coming. Looks soooo much better than yesterday. In switching to LED on other tent I believe I light burned them :( I raised the lights as high as they'll go but damn looks pretty bad. Didn't realize these 240s were that strong at 60% even though I have humidity dialed in both tents to 65% and temps at 79 and 81 for good vpd, still burning. IMG_20210122_010756_1.jpg
I hope raising the lights prevents future burns.

Are you sure that's light burn and not nute burn? Also, looks like you have thrips.
Yes I have been struggling to deal with the thrips. All tents air systems are connected. But the nute burn? I lowered the ec and ph is right so couldn't be right? How'd you notice thrips and how can I get rid of them in flower?
