System Advice - Current Culture

I have been eye-balling the current culture dwc....
That's $1600+ for the bare system.
I would need a chiller and other toys still.

Is that a good system?
I currently grow in soil so I dont know a good one from a bad one.

Is there a comparable system on Ebay/Etsy that you would recommend?
I looked at some but the bucket spacing is not to my liking (they are 26" on center).
My lights hang from the rafters which are spaced at 24" so I would want something less than 24".
I guess I could always shorten the connecting pipes though.

Let me know, PLEASE!!!

If you have tools and skill, one could build something for less.

I don’t have there fancy air system but the rest of the pieces are an easy source in North America.

Still not cheap but less , but also a bunch of work.

I understand the pricing now, but could be tailored you your application.

There’s guy in PA that has hydroponics store , search those 2 words and maybe his could be of interest also.

Enjoy

Searched PA and Hydroponics.... and found this for far less.... ($744)
Yes that’s the one. He has incorporated the falls still using the stones , but I bet you would not need the stones as those falls would be supply enough.

I'd go the DIY route but definitely hydro in either RDWC in a 5-gallon bucket, 20-gallon tote from Lowe's, or a 4'x4' flood table. Either way, that Current Culture setup is SICK . . . and so is the pricing!!! I've had my eyes on it for YEARS!

I did. That's still a ridiculous price. There's no more than $50 worth of PVC and buckets in that 'kit'. You can DIY a 4 bucket RDWC setup with pumps, fans, filters, etc.. for a few hundred $$'s.

You are absolutely correct. The problem I had was melting all the plastic into the unique shapes.

The cc bulkhead fitting are the cats meow.

But I could not find one in the big box store.

A control bucket similar to this. 55 gal Rez outside of room. 6 5 gal buckets with net pots. Flood one hour, drain one hour.
