Slap them thangs into 6" and carry on. You dont need to "see" the roots. Light will burn them.....the older ones will die and new ones will grow. Put um into the 6" rockwool and do your hydro thing. I wouldnt fiddle with them anymore. There are plenty of roots coming out.
Thanks getogrow. I am in the process right now. I will post pics of growth and what the setup looks like. Plants look good. But they need to go in the big cubes.

Got it all set up today. Turned the light up 10% more. Im at 30% now. If they do fine with it for the week i will turn it up another 10% for next week. And then maybe 20% more the week after. Till i get to 70%. Your opinion is definitely welcome though. Especially on light. You and a couple other people are ok on here. Old hippies is what i would say we are. No matter the age. All here to help. Others want to criticize. Lets getogrow ing. Lol

Ummmmmm, what?

Ive been using rockwool for 20 years and have never had that problem.
People talk about rockwool like they just invented it. Im new to all this. But thats good to know you have that much experience with it. Any advice? First pic is of my light. 640w grow station by better options. 2nd pic. My flood and drain setup.

I think i will like the automation of the flood and drain. I need something i just have to check the nutrients. When i have to hand water i tend to over do it. How long after the seed germinates do you guys give the first nutrients?

If your doing flood drain you should always be feeding. Just very very little at first.

Every system is different but I start at every 3 hours or so I do a water cycle. Then reduce that time as they grow
The blocks are still pretty wet after 3 hours. That doesn't keep them too wet? I only ask because the internet says so many things. What kind of factors do i take into account? Temp at 77-79 with light on. 60-62% rh.

And i was only doing 1/3 the strength of nutrients. And then for the reservoir now i mixed it for seedlings. And then tonight i am going to add the difference in the nutrients to get me up to the requirements for veg.

I thought you had small plants? Did I miss something? You are increasing strength to veg strength?

I had my ec at 0.5, my tap is 0.33, till plants were inch or 2 hi. Then upped it to 0.8 ec.

Keep it low. Veg strength comes when the plant has some decent sized leaves and a couple nodes.
Yes , keep it very low. i would also lower the intensity of the light too.... its WAY too bright for seedlings. Let them grow for another week or two before blasting them with light.
If i were using your light for seeds. (i would not) then i would mount it to the ceiling and turn it to 10% or something like that. 6foot away from canopy at least.
Im not even sure you can get that light dim enough for me to grow seedlings....

Other then that you are doing good sir
