Terpene degradation

I've read many articles about terpene degradation and the consensus seems to be that some of them start evaporating at around 60-70f and some above 100f and so on. I am wondering if there is any difference while the plant hasn't been harvested yet.

Meaning does the same degradation happen during flowering if the buds are subjected to high temperatures?

Also, if that's the case then what about cannabis growing in the wild? I know countries where weed grows naturally in the native soil and weather and those are very hot places. Would that mean that our home grown weed is superior to weed growing naturally in it's native environment because we preserve more terpenes by providing the right light intensity while keeping low temps?

The plant keeps pushing new trichomes all the way to harvest. Some get sacrificed along the way for various reasons. Once harvest happens it’s best to handle the buds minimally and store them in a dark cool area until consumption. I’ve stored flower in 60-70 degreee temps and now store them in a wine fridg set to 58 degreees. I do notice a difference in flavor and freshness by storing them in a cooler place consistently.

Very basically. . .. if you can smell it, it's dissipating. Could be from touching it, the plant touching itself/buds touching, wind blowing on it, temp, humidity, you just sitting there staring at it  lol ok maybe not that last one, but still. If you're smelling it, you're "losing" it.

Your home grown weed is inferior because it gets its "flavor" from delicate perfume/soap/cleaner molecules via the Geranyl pyrophosphate pathway. AKA 'terpenes'.

Quality/traditional Cannabis benefits from heat, oxidation and enzymes as it gets its entourage effect and flavor from breaking down of fats and proteins. Home grown American weed smells like burning yard leaves when ignited. Natural non American medical grade weed smells and tastes like incense spice cake frosting skunk etc when burning. Some of the old skunk weed smells so strong when lit. All American weed smells like burning wet yard grass today, because they breed for candle/deodorant cologne chemicals that disappear when heated and taste like shit instead of armpit skunk dead body/
rotten fruit medical grade stuff with strong sugar/acid backed flavors.

Do you have sources? Not questioning you, just would like to learn more about it and it seems you have access to quality information.

My fiance is from a place in India where cannabis grows naturally, there's these giant plants just growing in nature without human intervention. Someday I'm going to go there and get a big fat chunk of bud from one of those bad boys and see for myself what the hype is all about.
