If someone enters my castle they're going to stop breathing and I can't be charged with a crime. That's the way it should be. This is in liberal Oregon. I have no duty to retreat and I am justified in any use of force once an individual enters my dwelling and I deem them to be a threat.

I hope they like lead.
I'll help them load up their car.
I have new for old replacement.

nothing to stop their family from suing you in civil court where the burden of proof is much lower. Think twice before you do something you will regret forever, it's only property, it's easily replaced.

I wouldn't shoot anyone unless they continued to advance on me after i told them to stop. I hope I never have to test the law. :peace:

I might not want to test the law but I'll be damned if I'm not going to defend myself. I'd rather take my chances in court instead of a dark room in the middle of the night. I'll choose to shoot and take my chances with the courts over becoming a victim.

I could introduce you to several inmates in Folsom Prison that felt exactly like you do, if you want a pen pall.

I'll make my choices smartly. I'm not interested in a front row seat at the state correctional institution. I'll be ok.

Say nothing.

I looked at them hard before I got my Camry. Just the way they work their engine, it revs higher than most cars. I have a thing about noise, and I just couldn't get past that.
I really dislike the note of a flat-four. Subies sound to me like old Beetles with a four-pack-a-day Camel habit. I’ve only seen them tuned for power Ken Block style.

With the new EV rebates the wife and I have been talking about buying a new electric car. But we don't drive the three we have enough to warrant spending the money. I am forced into driving the Tacoma the seven miles to town every month or two to fuel up, but that is usually the only time it goes off the farm. We also have a Camry and Prius C, both which get pretty decent mileage.

I was able to wait out most of the highest gas prices simply because I don't use much gas.

I looked at the Prius. I could not justify the expense relative to a Honda Fit. Using EPA figures and $4 a gallon, my breakeven was at about 500 thousand miles based on difference in fuel use.

I handily outperform the EPA estimate in my Fit. I’d like to have a Prius for about two thousand desert miles (four months at my current lazy practice) to see actual fuel use in my hands.
