tf are these worm-things?

I noticed a few of them on the rockwool / Root Riot plugs of my seedlings. It looks like they are munching on algae. They hid as soon as I started watering.

They are kind of big, like two grains of rice long. They have a black head and the body is translucent aside from their digestive tract. I've never seen them before.

Maybe not as big as I stated. I'm using to looking for thrips, so everything looks big to me now.

Kill them. Kill them with fire! I have no clue, that's just my first response to any bug that's not a ladybug or praying mantis. Hopefully someone smarter will be along shortly. Cool pics by the way, I can never get good macro shots. My hands shake like a meth head on pay day.

That's crazy. These things are like 200 times bigger than an adult fungus gnat, but I guess that's what they are.

Springtails (presumption) Are you seeing them float up when you water? I have some of those guys in my pots, but they didn’t cause me no harm. I fk’d shyt up myself But I did it gracefully.

Nah. They were chillin on the surface munching some algae, and when I watered them they slithered underground really quickly.

Not 100 but I remembered hearing about the black heads. Research further but pretty sure thats what they are.

Still looks like larvae and should have fire reigned upon them. Following to see what they are

I think you're right. It's funny that I've never noticed them before, but I've had gnat infestations a million times.

I would recommend sns products. And using some essential oils and your finger or a q tip and rubbing around the rim of your pots. Will keep flyers away while sns kill larva. I always use oils and a preventative

What about just an H202 "flush"? Also a nice lil blast of 02 to the roots.

Fungus gnats. Stickies for adults even if you think your not seeing them because thats what made those, a soil drench neen, gnatrol etc, and cover the coco with something like sand or gnatnix done

This stuff will get rid of them. I use a couple drops every time I water. No More Gnats!
