The Future Of Cannabis Legislation

States Rights. I am not a liberal but let people in states vote on these things. It is what the Framers of The Constitution wanted. Colorado is not perfect but towns can vote yes or no. This is how things should be. Power down to the people.

The Federal Govt should be out of almost everything especially education. Let the parents locally decide - because the parents locally are paying for it. .

It will end up schedule II medical only.
The FEDS are being neutered by the states. Fuck the FEDS, the thieving cock suckers.

Eventually, people will outgrow coercion based governments.

Power down to the INDIVIDUAL person to make their own economic choices is the logical destination of freedom and peace.

Seems reasonable to have some national education standard. Look at Tennessee. Or Texas... left to their own they'd abolish schools and have everyone thump a bible. You literally can't allow that from a national level.

We all know dumb ass uneducated dirt parents and would you really leave a child's education up to parents like that?

that is what clinton planned, and many voted for. i'd prefer to grow my own and not go buy a pack of marlboro joints at the corner store...
Agreed. The last thing you want is mega corporate growers. I know a guy in WA state who is pushing to go down that path and getting MJ in Wal Mart. No thanks. States Rights issue. If you really want MJ/MMJ then move to a legal state or grow a few of your own plants.

I know the f****ing realtors in Colorado are loving it.

I would like the entire country to grow or buy without worry about the DEA. That, however is not what the GOP says they want. Trump spoke in favor of Medical only in March. Not freedomt to grow or buy, but medical. Since then, he endorsed the GOP platform which is against both. Just saying it will be a while. Also, Trump's law and order plans, I'll bet, will include harsh treatment of drug offenders. As long as pot is Schedule 1, be ready for conservative states to take this as a green light to arrest, seize assets and incarcerate pot growers, even small grows. Do you think Trump cares?

Home schooling currently meets a state / fed standard. You can't just home school what you want. So my point remains despite your rude response to something you didn't understand

Stop being an ass. Some of the smartest kids that I have ever met have been home schooled. It is somewhat depressing and stupid to see pot smokers advocating big govt. Loads of people in jail on minor drug crimes thanks to govt.
Some of the smartest people I ever met had doctorate degrees in Math and the Sciences from top level colleges. I never met one that had been home schooled. Not saying they don't exist but a home schooled kid who made it into top ranks of technical professionals is a rare bird indeed.

It IS depressing to see so many on a pot board who supports big law enforcement.

In all MMJ states, and the state of Washington, recreational MJ growers are subject to fines and punishment.

Dont break the law, and the law wont break you.
This reminds me of a joke told to me by a Russian immigrant to the US that I worked with for several years. Anatoly said:

"There was a group of prisoners who had been locked up together for so long they knew each other's jokes so well that all they needed to do was call out a number and everybody would laugh.

One day, after years of confinement, the prison brought in a woman guard to guard the men. When she walked into the yard, it became quiet until one of the men yelled out a number. After the riot had been quelled and the prisoners had been pulled away from the badly beaten jokster, the guard asked one of the rioters what had just happened. The man replied "nobody should tell a joke like that in front of a woman".

I've heard you say the same damn thing again and again Spandy. It is clearly false and you've been given several reasons why this is so. Therefore, all I will say to you is "22". You can look it up.

Yes but he has his voters and the GOP to please and they are anti cannabis. I think if they let him legalize it, it will be under the control of a handful of large corporations and the penalties for breaking the rules will basically the same, lots of people going to jail.
I agree. My state will never legalize now. Maybe commercial like alcohol.
