thought id start logging my experiments somewhere, I've been wanting to make this clone only forum cut strain into seed form, and there is one practical way of doing it - following from Schwaggy P's technique on how to reverse a plant

I ordered my STS chemicals through ebay, 10g silver nitrate ~$15, 4oz sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate ~$10, should be enough to make plenty stressing reagent, spraying the identified plant 1x/week

Strains on deck in their teens right now all from clone:
Forum Cut girl scout cookies (plan to flip one to male) - will cross female pollen with a female in flowering
Runtz - chuck that gsc pollen at it
Peanut butter breath - chuck that gsc pollen at it also

ok here we go, I sprayed this clone of Girl Scout cookies forum cut starting 2wks prior to flip, once a week for 4wks.
Will breed this back into a flowering clone of Girl Scout cookies forum cut so I have the strain in seed form (known originally as clone only)

Getting ready to cross with peanut butter breath and cross with runtz to see what the hell will come out of it

Here is the female gsc forum cut that will be flipped soon to flower and accept pollen

Left is runtz, right is peanut butter breath, 3wks into flower will select some branches to pollinate

I never thought of trying Ebay for the sodium thio. The Canadian Amazon didn't have either chem so I made my own silver nitrate and ended up finding a chem supply store in Ontario to buy the thio part. Only $22 for 500g of it but Purolator charged me $69 for shipping to get it to me in northern Alberta. I'll never run out of the sodium thio for sure. lol

I already have 2 - 500ml brown glass bottles with my stock soln's and will be using 50ml of each to make 1L batches of the STS instead of mixing both together. Kept separate they should last for years in my dark, cool basement and I'll only have to refrigerate the STS when mixed up.

I've been pollen chucking for 20 years but will be my first time going for fem seed.

Lots of fun so good luck with yours!

In another 4 or 5 weeks you'll have ripe seeds!

I'm seeing some droopy dry leaves in the back right of the plant pic. Watering can ASAP! lol

What are the paper bags doing for the process?

that plant in the back corner is dead I chopped it up and chucked it. Sat in water runoff and roots rotted.

the bags are to reduce pollen spread in the tent, I took them off after 5 days once the pollen was accepted. Doesn’t look like it spread to any other branches, but who knows until I chop and start smoking. Learned the bags from shwaggy P’s post in the linked thread in the beginning
