Simply put, I have 5 bagseed strains(2 of which are the same)in week 8 of flower and think it might be time to harvest. Wish I could get the yellow out of the photo but can't with 700w HPS running. Started using RO water with two drops of Golden tree for waterings last week for final two weeks or so flushing after 6 weeks of PK boosters & cal/mag. Started all seeds back around Thanksgiving. Grown in 40/40/20 FFHF/OF and 20% MG Perlite with Alaska Fish ferts, dr. Earths nut & tree dry amendments, Jobes Tomatoe Bone meal dry amendments and urine for Ammonium boosts. Had alot of stuff going on for those 8 weeks of veg and nothing but good!
Needless to say, we all made it through months of COLD and I think we're getting close. Two plants have gone 85% yellow in the fan leaves despite trichomes being very clear and upright. There's too many variables with all 5 plants to explain in full but I have one plant that is still vibrant green and has bright white new pistils and still looks very immature despite being same age as the bunch.

Tried to keep it simple. I just need thoughts and opinions.20210408_224939.jpg20210408_225129.jpg20210408_224914.jpg

Still throwing white pistils. Those need to be amber and curling in IMO. Better to get a magnifying glass and check out trichomes to see where they are at. By the looks of it you’ve got awhile to go. Different strains have different run times though so you might need to harvest at different times. Again though, can’t really see much with the lighting and no mag

But one plant has been pollinated and the seed appears very mature as last photo shows. Also, no strain really shows trichome curving or sagging but all show very cloud bulbous resin structure. Then too, my sativa is fox tailing and stretching....alot!
I get the different harvesting times but how if I only have one suitable area? I also do the 48hr no light period..

Sorry they got pollinated, nothing you can do about that now though

I'm not. A handful of seeds is actually what I want seeing as I have a controlled space to cross and try my hand at the Punnet Square & Mendels law...I need at least 5 more viable seeds for next go round, possibly in hydro.
Thing is, each and every one of these fine plants are Intersex and have thrown nanners here n there between the bunch. My oldest and most manicured plant refuses to be pollinated despite using viable pollent from a very special Male I grew out last year. Since its shown several mutations during its life, I knew it would be hermie already but I think what's happened is this plant has 21 or possibly 22 chromosomes (Plant Downs Syndrome) and cannot be pollinated. The other plants however...

Long story, yeah I'll probably get 2lbs from this go round but my ultimate goal is to get buds that put you in haze all day and mature seeds for next go. Plus, I one seed I've plucked earlier in napkin for this years outdoor season.

I personally would never use a seed from a hermie plant, the offspring will be higher risk of hermie.

Take pictures when the lights are off with a flash.

Plants look like they have weeks to go.
I would have already but as being all my plants are intersex (not a true hermaphrodite) they will produce more male flowers if I try shooting night photos. First couple weeks in flower I tried to take night photos with flash, next couple days...staminate flowers. 16182480551343799968109662847516.jpg
4 of the 5 plants have until 4/20. The one back, far left, will probably get another month and monster cropped.

All you do is unplug your lights, then go into the grow room after they were supposed to have turned on, take your pics, plug lights back in

Why tho? An explanation might help..
im not looking to grow the perfect plant or tap the most solid buds or max thc content. the bud i grow gets me to where i want to be and i havent fart assed around getting it there, no loupes or coloured trichromes, just harvest when theres 80% brown/red haires. boom job done.
ive never had any complaints about my bud

20210414_110710.jpgYes, HPS lights produce a light sometimes so powerful it creates optical illusions, especially if you have a Deuteranomaly color blindness like I do! Last night was blatantly told how purple one plant was by my wife(who couldn't keep a fake plant alive and doesn't consume)...I'm that desperate for second opinions!
I'm not looking to win cannabis cup awards or meet dispensary standards, I just want smooth, tasteful, yet couch lock, stupid for hours potency from these buds. Shit is getting way too hectic in the world these days and again, where I live, shit will still land you in the penal system if possessed in any form. I would hate to have spent the last 4 months+, countless electric bills and man hours on buds that were taken a bit too soon. Have done this more times than I'd like to admit but..

Sometimes a guy wants to get shit done, and done right the first time...no mistakes. Make sense?
Hopefully these new photos help but in my experience, I'd say wait another 4 or 5 days on all plants still. Maybe another month for spindly plant far left backside and monster crop it.
Last question, anyone grow strains similar to this sativa dominant(purple) plant pictured? I swear, it smells and has a structure very similar to....feral cannabis.
Nickel for your thoughts.

*reads thread..."started back around Thanksgiving"...chokes on food.

That is a lot of time investment.

Hoping you get that 2lb harvest from it my friend.

Plants look good but seems like they got some time to go. They will look done...but not be actually done done. You can harvest now, but I would consider it an early harvest.

Early harvest gives a nice head hi usually.

Thanks everyone for your inputs and comments, this is extremely valuable to me! I can't tell you how many times I've read cover to cover all of Jorge Cervantez and Ed Rosenthals books and still have questions. I just cannot stand watching YouTube most times, these commercial fakesters ruin everything and fill noobs up with crap! I can see where this rant may go with me so I'll stop and again thank all for your help.
I just can't believe I can't see purple like the rest of you...thinking all these months that this plant was a dud.

Update:
The purple strain turned out to be horribly seeded and tastes like sh*t...makes me believe a random feral hemp seed got into the mix and I just babied it. The other four plants produced very interesting buds, sticky and a high that makes me very sedated and very hungry! Fruity/citrus but pungent and dank. smokes slow and evenly, tasting almost like a perfectly cooked and prepared rye turkey sandwich!
My neighbor loves it and so do I!
Again, thanks for the help everyone!
