Thrips help I have tried SMS 203 and PureCrop1

First I tried PurecCrop1 which came highly recommended by my Hydro Supply Store. I used it 3 times 2 days apart at the maximum strength as recommended. After the first 2 rounds I saw a slight decrease but a huge surge on day 6 so I went out and bought SMS 203.

SMS 203 I have seen a similar result but no surge so far after 2 days.

As a test each time I placed a leaf with Thrips on a plate and sprayed it down. I would watch the trips stop moving only to resume moving after the leaf dries. If this is the case I can't imagine how this crap is working. Obviously I am not getting as optimal of conditions on the plant. The PureCrop1 says it disrupts their digestion so maybe that isn't expected to work fast. The SMS 203 says it dries them out so I expect that to get quick results. Am I missing something?

What should I be purchasing and using. I have included a picture of the pest I have been fighting in case there is any question I am fighting thrips. The older ones appear a more yellow color.

I keep topping my plants in veg and defoliating them to make it easier to treat. the area I am working in is a 4x4 and I am using the spraying amount that should be able to treat 250sq feet and soaking the floor of the tent. Something has to give.

Yes I defoliated the plant. I can't expect it to kill anything if spraying the bugs directly on a leaf in a dish didn't work.

I went ahead and tried spinosad and I see dead thrips on the leaves today. So far so good.
Good. Hit them with spray every three days for the next two weeks.

Will do. I can't believe an actual hydro supply store recommended the other solutions as they didn't do a single thing even in the most optimal controlled situation. The spinosad concentrate cost half the price and was from a regular garden center. It doesn't even appear to be a very toxic pesticide if toxic to humans at all.
Pulled a few lower leaves all around the tent today and I didn't see a single thrip alive. I have no doubt now this is the best product for thrips.

It's funny because even a customer in the store said use spinosad when he overheard and the employee recommending purecrop1. The employee then went off about how much better their soap was then regular dish soap and would do the job perfectly. I'll release beneficials after the 2 weeks is up to get threw this grow.

Yeah man, Spinosad is a awesome product. Very very safe. What I like to do, as what was recommended to me, is apply Spinosad during flip/stretch.

You won't be spraying buds, and it's preventative maintenance. I've never had (knock on wood) a pest problem during flower since applying this method.

And yeah, hydro stores are hit and miss for good info.

Good luck homie!
