titan controllers

hi there, I have recently decided to switch from 24/0 in veg to 18/6. so I had to go buy another timer. the timer on myflower area was a real cheap one so iI figured id just buy two better made ones if I'm gonna drive all the way to a shop.

I picked up two apollo 8's by titan controllers... they felt a lot better than my cheap wal mart dual outlet timer (and quite a bit more pricey). when I got home I went to set them up everything seemed fine.

set an alarm so I could check on em when they were suppised to turn on. got up to check and one wasnt keeping time and never shut off and the other one wouldnt turn on unless i reset the timer switch.

drove all the way back to the shop (50-60 miles) and they said they couldnt refund me but they would replace the items. so I got two more...

on these ones so far ive burned out two t5 h.o. bulbs on startup in three days, and the other one has the not turning on until reset problem again.... also the one that has been burning t5s out (bright blue flash on startup, thought it waa jist that bulbs time on the first one), won't restart my 250w m.h. unless I unplug it for at least 15 minutes.

so needless to say I'm not continuing to use these p.o.s. timers anymore. hopefully I can work something out with the shop to at least give me one working timer of a different make or my money back.

anyone else have expirience with titan controllers?

Those Apollo 8 timers are quite possibly the worst pos timer on the market today. I had 2 that were both crap and most of the reviews online say they suck as well. Not sure why those ones are such garbage because their other stuff seems pretty legit. I have an Apollo 4 that works great.

this is the first id ever heard of them when I saw.em in the shop. so far on those apollo 8s I'm 0 for 4 finding a working one. maybe I'll see if the shop will just give me a different model, if the other models actually work.
