To flush or not to flush

I have never flushed before. I was not satisfied by the taste of my grow. I bought a jug of Grotek.
I use cloth pots. Does anyone have any advice for a first time flusher?
If you do, it would be greatly appreciated.

It depends on the nutrients used on the run
most organic amendments dont requiere flushing, if ur using heavy salts definitely flush.
for flushing u want to decrease ur nutrient input from day 14 to 7, and cut off all nutrients last 7 days of flower

Flushing is a myth.

Terpenes can be affected by Heat, stagnant air, genetics. Overfertilization

One thing you can do to increase terpene content is to add Sulfur. Change strains

My feed consists of Calcium Nitrate- 15.5-0-0 so instead of using Cal/Mag I use CN, for both Ca, and N, and Epsom salts for Magnesium/Sulfur. On an 8 weeks flowering strain its good to increase sulfur for weeks 5-6. Though I give it every feeding from seedling on, its greatly increased for those 2 weeks, and then cut back last 2 weeks. Though not eliminated. I also feed 40%-60% strength last 2 weeks.

Also dont eliminate Nitrogen in flowering, and in weeks 2.5-5 add extra 0-52-34... Mono Potassium Phosphate

I have always wondered why starving a plant in the final 2 weeks where the flower can swell a good 25% is a thing at all.....the most is does is starves your plant and has it searching for nutrients instead of focusing it's energy to produce and saves a little on the nutrient bill.

Ok, so the cure helps the taste? I am using fully organic nutes.. Aroura.. Buddha Soul.
I have never done the cure either, I have just dried it out. This time I have Mason jars to do the cure.
I grew a little over the summer and while it does not taste bad, it does not taste good either. I would like my
Current plant to taste better.
I would bet the Flush or Not to Flush question on this forum is a can of worms. With opinions all over the place. And I know many things are a myth. Like hanging your product upside down to dry.
Anyone have any ideas on how to improve taste. I do not see me doing a legit flush in a cloth grow bag.

Genetics
Plant Selection. 1 plant from the same strain may be bland, and another may be the best shit you ever had. Some strains just dont taste that great.
Dont over fertilize.
One thing a person can do is make sure the plant has a good source of Sulfur. Sulfur is one of the things that help produce terpenes.
Slow dry. Good air flow.
Dry until stem Snaps before putting into any enclosed container.

Ive found the best of it will taste good from the start. Proper drying only makes it better. But when its dry enough to smoke, it should already have a good flavor. Getting moisture out, will obviously make it taste better, and one also isnt steaming their lungs with moisture.

Flushing the last 2 weeks is primarily for taste of the smoke. If you feed up til the end of harvest you'll get a way harsher smoke (more so with synthetic nutes)

Not saying it doesn't, but you can definitely taste synthetic nutes on plants that got fed all the way up til harvest.
Do they hurt you? Maybe you are just such a remarkable person in the taste senses, but even organic grown i have nevwr had the 2nd hit taste as flavorful as the 1st, so no difference to me over 1 toke. I feed till the last day in coco and i can definitely taste the flavor on the 1st hit and maybe a bit longer or just stronger on that 1st when i vape.

Lol, I like to grow the best tasting bud that I can. Flushing helps. Period. And no, I'm not extra remarkable but I know what my clients like. Smoking weed is more fun when it doesn't snap crackle pop and taste like Ajax.

Bud smoked immediately after drying and after a 3 weeks cure are noticeably different. You can smoke after drying and it will get you high but a cure of 2-3 weeks minimum will make for a much better experience. My wife will not smoke bud cured less than 2 weeks and will complain until it's at least 3 weeks. Even if I don't tell her, she just can tell. Different strains, dry times, curing conditions and such will change the exact time needed. Like with most things your mileage may vary.
