To harvest or not to harvest? That is the question.

Hello everyone. I’ve been growing Royal Dwarf plant for nearly 16 weeks now. The guidance on this strain said seedling to harvest between 10-12 weeks. I know that’s not a rule but somehow I feel like my plant is done doing it’s thing now.
In a previous thread I had been worried that I might be having a nutrient deficiency, but it turned out to be bad light damage to the tops of the plant. Some of the damaged leaves were so dried out that I trimmed them off the buds and moved the plant from under the lights to a skylight with direct sunlight all day.

Anyway, I’ve noticed any new growth has slowed way down. The buds are fairly thin and they don’t smell very nice. They have quite a pungent sour smell. I’ve been checking the trichomes with a jewelers loop every few days and they all appear mostly clear still. Most of the pistles have turned brown and inward as well. So, short story long should I wait longer or harvest?
This is my first ever grow and the result so far is pretty meh. It’s a learning curve and hopefully grow number two will be much better.

cheers.

Nope, by a week or two, maybe more...
Too much white hair & no amber trichs on the calyxes.
Good pics btw.

Have fun

Yeah, still some time to go. Plenty of white pistils still showing and I would expect the calyxes to bulk up a bit as harvest nears.

If it was a true dwarfy strain , it would been done by now . If you plan to really grow - dump the cfl and get a proper setup even if it is a basic SF1000 spider Farmer board . Not blurple ....

Plant would have been much further along , it is dragging due to the insufficient lighting. Buds are not forming well.

I not trying to hijack or anything. But I totally agree on the lighting issue. This is from a $159 SF-1000 that's close to harvest. Fastbuds autoflower at day 65 from sprout. It's a great budget light and performs better than my old blurple.

I will definitely try a different set up next time around. Question though, if 4 CFLs isn’t sufficient, why were they burning the s*^t out of the top of the plant?

From personal experience - CFL's are OK for veg, but produce light & airy buds. They're lacking for Flower because they have no penetrating power & burnt you tops because too close (I suspect).

Good luck

not all CFLS are the same. Some are bigger and have more wattage. Which ones were you using? regular household 13watt bulbs, you have to keep them close, by close I mean 3-4 inches.
You mention light burn, do you have any kind of fan running inside?
