Too early to top?

Settle an argument for me and my friend. One of us thinks it’s too early one thinks this plant can be topped already. It is 14 days from breaking the ground

Can it? Sure, you can top it. Should you? In my opinion, not quite yet. you are only on your first pair of, what I see as, her "true leaves". I top, the first time, after her 3rd pair of separated leaves. Admittedly, I'm still pretty new to growing.

yea i wouldn't top just yet you could always try but it would be best to wait a little longer in my opinion

No doubt you could and likely be fine in the long run. If you wait for 5 or 6 nodes though it grows through the topping with almost no stress or slowing of growth. But yes you can.

That is a very pretty training job. Do you do anything special to get this uniform result?

i use to love topping but fuck its alot of work and at the end of the day a scrog will do just as good prob better

Basically the stages of this one's life all same plant . kind of work with its natural paired growth before it gets staggered growth.

It's not much work at all. If anything just adds time on to your grow. Which isnt a problem in the end if you have the time

Why wouldn't I? In the end it works out for me? No larf...no popcorn... And a nice trained plant with no air flow issues with all solid colas...?

no difference from a scrog prob 5 x the cola sites and u dont have to bend over and fuck around with trimming wires and lines

and I don’t mind the extra time on the grow. I’m hella obsessive about every aspect of my grows.
