Took a look, can’t find my answer.

What do I do in hydro tubs with 2 plants per site when I want to cull one? Might be a stupid question but I can’t find the info I’m looking for. I killed a small plant awhile ago because it didn’t make the cut, it was root tangled with a keeper, I shook and tore the roots apart with no noticeable effects.. it put a bunch of organic matter in my water, I ignored it, no problems.. can I cut a plant and just leave the root mass a float?? Leave a little branch of life on it?? I plan on most likely leaving the root mass and maybe a couple branches of life, they would have to float 2-3 weeks, 64 degrees with uc.

You could but I trim roots all the time they usually are back to original size in a week

Ok, I will remove the root ball. The res hasn’t been cleaned in 4 months and I don’t have issues, it’s been looking pretty good. Near the end but I have a couple late finishers and some stuff that has to go in order to let it all finish up nicely. Thanks for the reply.
