Triple X (XXX)

I wasn't at the memorial, Buck. Though I made this poster for him and it. My Ex was on the mic for a lot of it to help run it. We could only manage to send one of us out there at the time and I was sad to have missed it. I saw Doug at his house right before he went to Thailand. We were family, and we even fought like it on that visit. I went up to the Redwoods for a day and picked out a rock for him that was green and looked like jade. I gave it to him when I was making up and apologizing...he told me that he loved it, and he was sincere and touched. I really have to mean it when I fight with someone and don't talk to them now. Ok I don't remember all that I should have, because my memory has been affected by an illness from when I met him in '99. Sweet Tooth, XXX, 911 were the favorites. The last thing he was working on makes me laugh to tears...he was trying to get a pure sativa from Thailand to work with. The things took something like over 100 days to finish and it was a forest by then! In terms of breeding and sense of taste and smell he was a genius. He also made wine and framboise and those skills translated into some of his cannabis expertise. I think I was in some kind of denial when I saw XXX at my dispensary for the longest time. Then I searched around until I found this thread, and I thought my comment would go unnoticed. So I'm thrilled right now. Thank you! He made me laugh all the time, because his sense of humor was excellent. He would name plants he was killing after Exes, for example. I saw that his genetics are still winning...the 2014 LA wins for the XXX OG came up as the first hits! I think the OG must have been what threw me off from admitting to myself that I had chosen a dispensary that sells a cross of my good old friends' genetics. WOWEE! Way to go Doug.

Hey Jen, I'm friend of Doug Bindschatel as well. My dad grew up with him and were best friends here in Flint, Michigan. He lived on. Ludwing st. By Dort Hwy in Flint. NORML used to held meetings at his house. I can't smell but I can taste an I guess you could smell his grow from the street! The DEA busted him in 1984 here in Flint, Michigan, they said it was the most sophisticated growing system they've ever seen in the United States. Used to smoke with him all the time and go camping, toss a frizzbie, fish, smoke some more, carve sticks with a knife around a fire. Doug, my dad, and I and some friends would swim in our pool all the time, awesome swimming pool too! One of the coolest guys I met. My fathers name is Michael Beck. They had a small falling out after he moved to California.. He was dating a woman named Carrie, beautiful woman too, and Doug thought my father was messing around with her an he wasn't she would just stop by and hang out. They talked again eventually, I heard about him selling to certain A-list Celebrities. 911 was hands down the best. I have an old film bottle full of Doug Bindschatel seeds by the way. I wish he would have came back home to visit more often. It was sad news when my father and I found out he passed away. Glad he was amongst good people and friends. I'm growing myself actually, being growing Super Lemon Haze, Harlequin, Midnight Mass, Money Maker, Green Crack, Special Needs, Pineapple Express, Sucker Punch, Sour Desiel, Girl Scout Cookies, THC Bomb, and more.. I have over 25 different strains right now to grow. I really wish he was still here, he worked at Buick here in Flint. If he was still here, I wish we could have worked together on growing and creating something amazing like a legitimate business with nothing but the best! You can check out my Instagram account jbs_tasty_buds, I have some of my grows and work on there.

God Bless

My dad's best friend Doug Bindschatel created XXX, I might have some seeds of his 911 strain I have an old film bottle full of his genetic. He passed away in Feb 2010 5 days after my birthday. I remember when he went to Amsterdam to get seeds and start cross breeding with them. He's a Legendary Breeder!

Got ahold of a gem a while back... called it triple x... was a funky skunk sweet DANK herb... was jus wonderin if anyone else had the pleasure of comin across this... got it from a friend but seen it also at the GC3... never could get the genetics on it held any info on it like it was aztec gold but it was an awesome smoke... i know there are a few breeders that have a triple x in there line up but to many to single out...

Happy Farming :weed:
