The insulation is working against you. You are going to have to cut large enough holes top and bottom to move a lot of air through. You will need a fan to force air into the inlet holes (on the bottom) and exhaust it on the top. Immediately after exhausting it the air needs to be pushed through a filter by the exhaust fan and assisted by another fan on the outlet side of the filter. If you look around you might find 2 fans the same size but with opposing rotations. 1 CW and 1 CCW of similar properties like blade size and pitch should counter the vibration each will make and cut fan noise.

Use a Sawzall or a drill with a hole saw blade in it. Both can be rented. Watch the insulation as you saw and wear safety GOGGLES with no holes to keep the crap out of your eyes.

Toss that junkass freezer fan once you get real ones.

http://botanical.com/hydro/air/calculating_fan_requirements.html

Read that first and calculate what you need. Then go shopping. Buy the proper stuff.

http://www.surpluscenter.com/item.asp?item=16-1385&catname= Great exhaust fan. Hole on top - a BIG one and not a bunch of drilled holes. Mount this flush. An item called a "transition" can be bought for $5 that mounts to the rectangular outlet and transitions to round. Usually 4" or 6". Dryer line can then be clamped to that.

Great place. Bought tons of stuff, literally, from Burden's over the last 30 year. Go online to their homepage and request a catalog. Same with WW Grainger. Real stuff, good prices. Burden's is cheapest and has a million neat surplus items. Grainger is all new items and priced accordingly but it is where hydro stores and so on buy some of the stuff they sell you.

from what ive figured out i need to exchange air between 27 and 29 cfm but should i double that due to being in a insulated box as in the fridge/frezzer becouse that doesnt seem to be that much air movment and the fans i have now i would think would move close to that much air could be completely wrong and probably are and does anyone know how to calcutale the cfm of a fan
